Nathan Krakouer

Total Score: 388 (Ranked 447th overall, 153rd amongst defenders)
Average Score: 55.43 (Ranked 440th overall, 150th amongst defenders)
High: 84 (Round 3)
Low: 31 (Round 18 )

Centuries: 0 out of 7
Starting Price: $373,800
High Price: $373,800 (round 1)
Low Price: $280,700 (round 19)

Summary:

Nathan Krakouer was the 2nd cab off the rank for the Gold Coast Suns, and I'm still not sure why they want him. He does have potential and is still young, but had an injury ravaged 2010 averaging only 55.43. Isn't much more to say other than that.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $294,400 ($264,900 with a 10% discount)

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $280,300

Position: DEF

Krakouer will be a senior member of the Suns line-up, and is likely to play every match if fit. I imagine his output will increase, with a few centuries here and there, but with inconsistency galore.

I'd bet on him having a 10% discount, though m0nty disagrees.

Decision:

At his price, Krakouer does provide some value and could be a semi-decent mid-priced cash cow. However, there are plenty of other cheap Suns to choose from, and the Suns have two byes early in the year. So he gets an unlikely for me.

Short and sweet summary for what I think is an overrated player. :)

Fletch74

100% agree Ossie. Was ok in 09' but there are too many other Suns to choose from

Maca24

was a gem for me in 09. i started him at 200k and traded him out when he peaked at 450k. i will consider him for 2011 but 50-50 at this stage.

Cruiseon

There are worse. In 2009 he was good, he will definitely start every game and could easily be a good cash cow. Injuries are very relevant, I think he is a maybe based on NAB form.

Boomz

Unlikely but he was great for me in '09 so he's a chance if he can get fit.

Junktimer

i agree, overrated, nothing special.  very unlikely.

McRooster

In his last game for he Port Adelaide Magpies #2's he absolutely blitzed. This game was AFTER it was officially revealed he was heding to the GC and he seemed to have a sense of purpose and freedom in his play. A much maligned character at Port, relying on confidence to see him play his best.
Coad from GC will provide a better back option, a better decision maker and fitter body.

Good luck Nathan and to those who dare pick him.

MajorLazer

Not going to be taking because of his move to GC. Will already have 1 or 2 GC rookies. That's enough for one line.

MTTY

Could be a good cheap unique as he rebound well out of defence still on the shortlist for me

Hawka

beta GC players but y would u go with him from rnd 1 with gc's early byes ?

dylsta05

maybe but i think there better players who are cheaper
