The Vancouver Canucks of the NHL reached the Stanley Cup final yesterday with a 3-2 win in double overtime to take the series 4-1 over San Jose! They now await the winner between Boston and Tampa Bay where Boston is currently leading that very tight series 3-2. This is the first time since 94 that the Vancouver Canucks have reached the Stanley cup final and it could be the first time that they win it in their 40 year history.

An interesting fact for you:
When Montreal hosted the summer Olymic games in 1976, they won the Stanley Cup in 1977
When Calgary hosted the Winter Olympics in 1988, they won the Stanley Cup in 1989
Now that Canucks have hosted the Olympics in 2010 will they continue the tradition and win the 2011 Stanley Cup?? I bloody hope so!!
