Summary:

Quite a few coaches saw Paul Bower as something as a unique pick-up. Bower had shown potential in 2009, and a decent preseason. Little did they know Bower would prove to be one of the more frustrating players of the year. Coaches were praising his name when he notched up 130 in round 1! But then he missed the next week... and the next... and the next.... until finally he returned in round 6 and scored 111! "All is forgiven!" the coaches cried out. But Bower would then go on to miss the next 6 rounds.

What is a coach to do? Bower with two centuries in his two games for the year had a low BE and if he ever played again was bound to go up on in price. I really hope people got rid of him quickly. He returned in round 13, scored a respectable 73, before missing another week. His did manage to play the last 8 games of the year, but those 8 games he only averaged 66.25 with a high of only 79. He was consistent though!

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $407,500 (in the very unlikely case of a 10% discount, his price would be $366,700)

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $388,000

Position: DEF (also very unlikely he will be MID/DEF)

I wouldn't think he would get a discount, but I guess there is a slight chance. I wouldn't think he would get MPP, again a small chance. Bower should be in that awkward price range again, however I see some value. If Bower gets a decent preseason, I would think his output will increase. Clearly injury prone however.

Decision:

Touch and go for me. I think Bower if he gets his body right, he has the potential to step up a gear. Will watch in preseason.

I picked him as a unique, but he let me down...

I won't be making that mistake again. It's a definite No from me.

Definitely a watch for me in pre-season, but being in such an awkward price bracket, I think there are definitely better options for that price. It's touch and go for me too.

BoredSaint

I think theres already a profile on him..
but unlikely for me

Really? *looks*

Can't find one. Maybe a dream team profile?
