Summary:

Jack Grimes broke into his fantasy football career in 2009, averaging 94.4 over 11 games.  The 21-year-old is very consistent, with a low standard deviation of 22.4.  He is still very young, and we would hope that his hamstring tear was a one off and he can become a durable player.

Overall Jack Grimes will deliver for you, and his price could be an absolute bargain if he can take his scoring to the next level.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $467,500

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $445,000

Position: DEF

Will Jack Grimes take his game to the next level?  Will he get injured again? I reckon big Grimesy may step it up this year.  And we hope for his (and ours) that he can string 22 together.

Decision:

Jack Grimes for mine has the potential to be an absolute gun.  With Melbourne getting better, his game could improve with them.  I will be short listing him personally.

At this stage I'm prepared to gamble on him.  If he stays healthy I can see him leading Melbourne's defence and filling the hole left by McDonald.

I think next year I will have grimes, drummond and hurn in my backline.
I know it's risky but I think their scoring potentials are worth it
