Thanks for being a tremendous contributor to the Magpies over the years, one of many examples of players Malthouse got the absolute most out of.

Looks like Luke Ball, the vastly improved Sharrod Wellingham and new kid Jarryd Blair have ended his career. And barring some serious injury hurdles from Collingwood, O'Bree is finished.

Hope he gets the coaching job, but sad for Collingwood to lose. Great leader!

Loved watching mid mid 2000's at his peak. Loved the way he went for the ball.

Should be missed by the Pies but would be a great gain for the young GC side. A nice assistsant coach to relate to the players along with Soloman.

Hmm Pies will not sack Buckley. He will 'resign'
Could be a good AC at GC, but I think he should have a year off before going back into footy. Each to their own.

A very good career to get almost 250 games out of his ability.

It is also a very good sign for the Pies that someone like O'Bree, who has been fully fit all year, has not been able to get into the side since round 10. I think that is the difference and why it is exciting times for the Pies.
