I'd watch if they played for the wooden spoon! (i.e. loser progresses instead of winner)

No, I think it would take away from the finals series.  Sounds like when you are playing junior footy and you get a medal for participation.  This is the elite series and only the best should be playing in a finals series..... FULLSTOP
