Personally i wouldn't touch him Newcastle would conceed to many goals to make him woth while however if you have him they might keep a clean sheet this week. Have you looke dat Dawson from tottenham they would conceed alot less than newcastle for that money.

Go for players that are in an awesome team but don't cost as much. Like Evans from Man Utd. Whilst no where near as good as Vidic, he gets the same points as him if they don't concede a goal and is at a super cheap price. Look for them in the top teams.

I think I have given you enough help LE  :P but since I am so kind I will help again. You say you only have 1 mill extra to spend if you only do one trade which gives you just over 5 mill to spend. I guess Coloccini is an alright option, can pop up with the very occasional goal. If you don't have Gary Cahill you could go him. A huge threat for Bolton at corners and will score more goals than most defenders. However Bolton can concede a fair few goals.

The other option you mentioned was doing a double trade so you had and extra 3 mill so you have about 7 mill to spend. At this price you could go Richards from Man City, who with Boateng injured is sure to play each match before he comes back. Another one is Sagna from Arsenal. Plays as a right wing back so gets forward and provides a few assists.

But going with the second option does depend on what the first trade is that you are planning. What is that?

Andrew and Rob those players are far too expensive. This is for sportal not official epl. In this game Boateng costs 4, whereas Dawson is 7.8 and Evans is 8.4

What you said had nothing to do with what I said....

Two teams that wont conceed as many goals cheap defenders from good clubs but not star defenders in their respective teams hmm, yeah totally different.

I honestly don't see how these two statements are anywhere near similar. But meh, w/e.
