Hey guys, me again.

Now that the team sheets are out, it has thrown a spanner into the works and I'd like to gauge your opinion on what my final trade should be.

I have 1 trade and 110K in the bank.

My team is as follows:

Backline: Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Gilbert, Bradley, Waters (Roberton, Smith)

Centre: Ablett, Selwood, Cooney, Judd, Tuck, Ball (Hardingham, Gysberts)

Ruck: Cox, Naitanui (Warnock, Roughead)

Forward: Riewoldt, Chapman, Harvey, Pavlich, O'Keefe, Brown, Rockliff (Podsiadly, Peterson)

These are my thoughts:

Forwards: With two weeks left, I don't think I need to make a trade here. Pods will come in for Pav this week and Peterson will cover for Brown if required. The following week, Pods (playing at home) will come in Brown regardless.

Rucks: With Geelong without a ruckman, Warnock will come on for Nic Nat. Though if I wanted to, I could still trade Warnock for Hille/Clark, or even trade Cox to Mumford...

Centres: Ball is the only one here I'd consider trading and luckily enough, I have a wealth of choices for him though Cross is looking the favourite.

Backs: They're fine. Waters is the only cause for concern and I could trade him for someone like Broughton or Scotland if I wanted to...

This is really starting to do my head in, so this is where I'm asking for your help.

Who should be the victim of my final trade? Ball? Waters? Cox?

Any help is greatly appreciated and will be returned.

waters of them, cox proven gun, ball playing in a good team at the G

who are your options for waters?

Waters for one of Broughton, Scotland or Johncock...

Just for some ideas, probably some are questionable (we are want to win bad this week!):

Forwards - Pav > Waite, Douglas, franklin
Rucks - Looks fine, Warnock can back up
Mids - Ball > Goodes (MPP), Boyd
Backs - Waters> T. Chaplin

But if I were you, I would think about the forward line:

They say Brown is named (200th game too), Pav (soreness), Pods, etc..could be the area for a Zero.

Apart from that, look at your opposition and see where you are the same, and don't worry about trying to fix that area (will just get the same score).

Look where you are different and try to get a better player (hopefully playing a weaker team [hawks v freo this week])

can you get someone different out of them, scotland and johncock have 2 tough games and broughton could struggle along with the rest of the dockers this week, symes would be good but same as johncock but could get more midfield time now with vince injured.

out of the ones you suggested though, broughton

Well for comparison, here is the team that I am playing:

My Backline: Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Gilbert, Bradley, Waters (Roberton, Smith)
His Backline: Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Gilbee, Fisher, Kennelly (Webberley, Smith

My Centre: Ablett, Selwood, Cooney, Judd, Tuck, Ball (Hardingham, Gysberts)
His Centre: Swan, Ablett, Montagna, Judd, Gibbs, Bartel (Crichton, Hardingham)

My Ruck: Cox, Naitanui (Warnock, Roughead)
His Ruck: Jolly, Naitanui (Warnock, Stanley)

My Forward: Riewoldt, Chapman, Harvey, Pavlich, O'Keefe, Brown, Rockliff (Podsiadly, Peterson)
His Forward: Riewoldt, Chapman, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Hall, Rockliff (Hitchcock, Duncan)

Tough game I reckon...plus its going to be hard to know if he has any trades and if so, what he'll do.

benjy251090

if he has trades left, i would go nicnat to someone or hall or another forward up, going to be close, might come down to captain choice

c4v3m4n

Yeah, on paper he's got me but it's definitely going to be a close one...

With his team in mind, should I look at trading Ball or Brown? I reckon that our rucks and backlines are very even but my centre/forwards are the concern...

benjy251090

i would go ball as there is more consistent options there and it has been an average year up front so anything can happen there

c4v3m4n

Well with the news that Brown is definitely playing, I think that yep, its going to be Ball for Cross.

Thanks for all your help guys!

Or should I risk and go Warnock to Clark....hmmm.....lol

Bosh

Well I would Trade waters to Broughton if it was me, Love the kid, always scores well and never lets you down, Ball is likely to do very well with both games at the MCG, waters plays Geelong At SS in Rd 22 so is likely to get a hard time. You will gain more points from the waters trade.
