As the season comes to a close, games become more critical. Freo simply cannot afford to lose a home game if they want to finish in the top 5.
A home final against say, Carlton or Sydney would be a reasonable outcome if they miss a top 4 spot.
If they win there home games they will finish with 14 wins, that should get them in the top 5.
I don't know if they get a home final if they finish 6th. To be honest, I'm only assuming they do if they finish 5th.
A home final would be a huge advantage to them.
Ironically, their last two home games are against Sydney and Carlton. Carlton is round 22. That game might be massive to both teams.

And yes, a massive advantage. However, falling out of the top 4 means they have to travel 3 times in a row to Melbourne to win the flag (assuming they win the first one).

Its no different than having to travel 10 times a year anyway (1 away game is against the Eagles)

I really hope Freo get a home final, O think they deserve it, and it would throw another complication into teams plans. You can't pencil in a win against Freo at home.
