Who should come in for JZ?

Mids: GAJ, Selwood, Joey, Judd, Swan JZ (howlett, JKT)

can also move JZ into forwards using MPP so could get a forward

For: Pav, ROK, Brennan, Goodes, Tippett, J.BROWN, Davis, (Gumby, Roberts)

have 253k in bank 548k to spend.

thinking boyd/DIDS.

suggestions welcome.

Would DID be a better option and leave me with about 60k in bank?

Or is the money better spent on getting BOYD?

I have to upgrade 1 of my backline spots as well as NIC NAT still so i am thinking cash would be nice. As well as MPP with DIDS as i can use HOWLETT as cover should i have an injury as only have GUMBY on forward bench.

Boyd.
Though Dids for the reason you mentioned is an excellent alternative.

Thanks guys, i don't have any doggies players in my team currently (had hall and higgins) so i can see that getting BOYD would be advantageous to my team but i keep coming back to the MPP rule. With no other MPP player in my mids and ROK, PAV, DAVIS, JZ, BRENNAN all in my forwards i think it is essential to have a MPP in mids?

Only other MPP players available that i would consider are CHAPPY & SILVIA who is too expensive or inconsistent. so that leaves me with DIDS and with only SWAN and NEON as collingwood players i am thinking he is the best fit.

My theory make sense or am i just overlooking the face DIDS will cost me about 1-200 extra points for the remainder of the year in comparison to BOYD.

You're theory makes sense though say Dids go to fwd line to cover as MPP...would Howlett provide better cover than Gumby to justify it.
I reckon get Dids over Boyd only if you think the $ saved will better your team in an upgrade elsewhere.

wardie

HOWLETT is ave. 70ish and GUMBY is about 50ish with very few scores if any higher than 60 so i am thinking that from a cover perspective it is essential to have HOWLETT available especially as my forwards are struggling and GUMBY seems to have to cover someone every week at the moment :(

Hoping JKT will play again this year as well but with the way the hawks are traveling i highly doubt it!

I'm not a bomber fan so don't know the likelihood of who's going to get a game...but Howlett's played 8 , Gumby 14...Howlett played last round, Gumby didn't.
Boyd ave 111 + 50ave Gumby if needed=161...Howlett emerg mid
Didak if used as fwd MPP ave 98 + 75 ave Howlett = 173...Gumby emerg
Didak gets you an extra 12pts per game as MPP in an average/ speculative situation.
Not much in it...think Didak's worth it for the $ it frees up more than what MPP is worth.
I'd still get Boyd.
Good luck though.

m8 i wouldn't be relying on howlett for cover!!! knighta has been rotating players like nothing else this season. looks like he favours melkshem over him as well. surely there will be a few blokes to come in that should be playing. being in the side that lost to melb doesn't fare well in relation to job sercurity as well!

wardie

I know what you mean torress but unfortunately because i have RELTON and JKT on the pine i only have GUMBY/HOWLETT as cover in each position.

I am just thinking that by having the MPP would allow me to have both as cover in both positions as i don't want to trade any of the bench players i have now as they are worth nothing and will not make any cash.

roo boys!

Agree that there is no point to trade out the cheapie as you will not make any cash. But I still think that the extra ppg is worth not having the MPP

Uncle

didak best option. need money for other positions, but need mpp. if i was you i'd take the punt though... look at how shaun higgins started... then look at how much he'll save you on didak
