I REALLY REALLY need you help, please offer advice on why i am battling so much!

Mid - GAJ, Selwood, Swan, Judd, Barlow, Martin (Kayler-Thompson, howlett)

Ruck - Sandi, Nic nat (Warnock, Lobe)

For - Pav, ROK, Higgins, Brennan, Neon Leon, K.Tippet, J.Z (Gumby, Roberts)

I can not seem to take a trick with my team at the moment!

Made 3 trades in the last 2 weeks.

Last week
HALL - DAVIS (hall pulls a 150 and i lose my league game as opponent held him)

This week
Upgraded TRENGOVE - SWAN (trengove pulls a 119 score and well go up to about 400k!)
Downgrade SILVANI - WEBBERLY (this we ok)

I have no idea what to do next,
Forwards are battling but i have lost so much $$ on them already i can bring myself to move any of them on.

Thinking:
MARTIN - GOODES (Will help with MPP and i can cover BRENNAN with GOODES in mean time and move HOWLETT on field and put BRENNAN on bench in mids)

OR

Double trade
TIPPETT/JZ - WATTS then UPGRADE the one i don't trade out to a premium but this means i have to play one of WATTS/GUMBY every week.

I have 13 trades and about 100k in bank.

I am so confused! Please offer some help boys,

Short term, you need a quality back, other than that, they look okay.

Your mids look fine, but time to move Martin on.

Rucks are okay.

Forwards are a mess, Tippet, Leon have been struggling all year, Brennan is out, so you are playing a rookie, Higgins is out so you copped a donut. There's 4 forwards who did SFA for you this week.

You are to holding Brennan so you must be looking for a league win. If that's the case, fine accept it and move on. If not look to bring in 2 forwards, your final mid and a quality back over the next 5 weeks.

I would move brennan to goodes, and with your cash upgrade JZ or Tippett to another forward, do the numbers, see who you can afford, Didak or Franklin could be options. That's 2 quality forwards in your team straight away, work on getting a quality back next week. Check how many weeks Brennan still has to miss as well.

Also be prepared for Davis being dropped and plan accordingly. Dont trade to final teams Friday night.

Accept the fact that some weeks it wont happen for your premiums (swan) but you are looking at long term averages, not just last weeks.

i think the main problem is your forwards, they need some serious attention...
i think you need to take a risk, put in watts this week for davis (profit 220k) then upgrade gumby to goodes (-130k)
then next week downgrade nason to someone cheap (100k) (profit of 150k) and then upgrade p.davis to gilbert (-220k) using your extra bank which should be around 120k
then in a few weeks time downgrade warnock in your rucks (profit 110k) and then upgrade JZ with the extra 230k to a didak/franklin

this way you get goodes gilbert and didak/franklin using only 6 trades :)

Thanks guys, I only just picked up Leon and i was hoping he would find some form, i just hope he does not get dropped as i am really screwed if that happens.

I know the forwards are the main problem at the moment so i am thinking of the following until BRENNAN is back as i am only going for league win.

MARTIN - GOODES, then using the MMP rule and moving GOODES forward and BRENNAN to bench in mids and putting HOWLETT on field in mids. I don't want to trade BRENNAN as i think he is a real x factor and very unique.

This will finish off mids, I can see HUNT - WAITE trade being a possibility and i should be able to do this without having to downgrade another player if all goes to plan.

Would leave me DAVIS, TIPPETT and JZ to upgrade with hopefully only 2 downgrade trade needed to upgrade the 3 of them so a total of 6 trades and i should be able to get rid of:

MARTIN, JZ, TIPPETT, P.DAVIS and HUNT?

Am i on the right track or bring a bit optimistic?

OK so league win is your priority.

Goodes is not having a great year score wise. You are not bringing in a super prem into your mids. However you are bringing in potential and value.

Howlett did well on the weekend, however expect him to average 60 - 65 only. He could be out of the side in 2 weeks for all we know as well.

You have to many mid pricers, Tippett, Ziebell, Davis, Goodes (based on current form). Thats why they are cheap, they are not scoring well. Thats why your side is struggling.

Lenny Hayes, Marc Murphy, Dal santo, Tags are all ripe for the picking price wise and they average 105+. These players are the super premiums you shuld want, not a fallen prem as Goodes (as a mid)  and Davis (at all) are at the moment.

I don't know where you stand in your league in terms of position, so only you can determine how many wins you need.

Also, MPP is great, but look at the baggage it brings, Davis, Waite, Tippett. I have held Waite since day 1 and overall he has been a pain in the arse, dropped for 2 games, then suspended for 2.

Brennan may be unique, but only if he is playing.

If you want decent scores, you have bring the premiums in, if your league is not very strong however, you may get away with a value side.

I know what you mean about the mid pricers, I am really hoping to bring in a MPP in the mids tho as this will allow me to be able to utilise the bench of both the mids and the forwards as cover as they are both pretty weak as i banked in ROBERTS playing and JKT seems out of favour at the hawks.

AS far as MPP players in mids there is CHAPPY, HARVEY, GOODES and DIDS, to get CHAPPY or DIDS i need to make a downgrade trade somewhere which currently seems unlikley as i have to cash cows anywhere that seem worth downgrading.

For this reason i see GOODES as the best value to get a MPP in team in mids.

only option i can see is WARNOCK - SKIPPER which will net me about 110k so may bank is about 200k.

With this is could go MARTIN - DIDS and get the MPP but that is wasting a trade i believe as i have to make another downgrade to be able to upgrade elsewhere.

I am thinking i need to take the risk in GOODES and hope he comes good allowing me to upgrade elsewhere.

I wish some of my mid priced players would perform! Would make life a lot easier.
