You can never really tell what a side may or may not do in terms of DT scores because the coach does not give a rats arse about how well they score in DT. All he cares about if he is doing his delegated job to the best of his ability and improving on it every week.

Never a truer word said MP. More Fantasy coaches need to remember this basic fact.

For sure elxam. What people would consider is to use the cash cows that get those big bang DT scores raise in price quickly but yet are not quite good enough (in coaches terms) to get a lot of TOG.

Cash these players in when they peak, usually somewhere ranging from round 5-7 and upgrade to a premium that averages at least 95+ and WILL play 22 rounds unless LTI strikes which we can never determine, yet may have a good educated feeling from previous seasons as to whether the premium is injury prone.

You have to also make sure that the rookie you downgrade to will play the rest of the season - well one wishes - otherwise you'll risk doughnuts or another trade

It depends how long your rookies take to peak. Some may take a while or some might turn into keepers.

One thing people forget is that you need a good downgrade target. It might be worth downgrading a rookie early if there is a high scoring rookie waiting to come in. Similarly, you can wait a couple of weeks, even if your rookie is losing $1000 a week, if there is no-one decent to downgrade to.
