time to get ablett but how??

i have 257k and i can either downgrade steve johnson to some1 under 220k which would allow me to upgrade banner to ablett
or i could downgrade martin to JKT and upgrade shuey to ablett.
this is my mids n forwards..

I could of course downgrade johnson to someone like phil davis and pocket some extra cash aswell.. what do u guys think?

the smartest move would be the first one:

downgrade stevie j to betts and upgrade banner to ablett

I don't think Betts is the right idea considering he's 306k

Although I agree if you're going to make the trade, option a is the way to go, Stevie J for Davis leaves a nice tidy sum after the banner trade for future upgrades

I had the same though in regards to stevi j, seems he is underperforming massively....i have no doubt though that after their loss to the fabulous team in carlton, thompson will be asking all of his players to step up.  Therefore i believe that Steve Johnson will improve over the coming weeks, or his spot will be at risk. 
If i were you i would downgrade martin only because i cant see any decent forward options atm who are genuine cash cows, unless your willing to take a chance on a tippett, but seems everyone is going off him

yeh i just reli don't like the way johnson is playing he looks lazy, doesn't work hard enough and just doesn't really look like he wants the ball.

the other option is to make just the one trade and upgrade either shuey or banner to the likes of scott thompson, selwood, deledio or maybe even black

im sure u didnt think stevie j was lazy last week wen he booted 6'... dont trade out ur premos, fwds r going to be the most inconsistent of all DTerz. Ride it out, trade ur rookies guyz u dont want to keep come finals time.

i mean yeh he kicked 6 but he doesn't really do the work for them he somehow just gets lucky majority of the time lol but u are right generally i dnt like to trade out my premiums.
and my backline defenders are hunt and nason atm but am rotating between these 2 and silvagni

The only other option i would suggest could be to trade one of your backline bench players for Hams..supposedly he works hard and should keep is spot, however if you did decide to trade beware just like anyone else that they could lose their spot.  This would free up enough money to then trade out shuey/banner for ablett i presume, or come very close to it.
Or you cuold trade for montagana who does very well and keep a little extra money for a future upgrade...theres a few things you can do!

i no theres just so many options and i have to wait till thursday arvo!!!!! soo long lol but i really do like that option i hadnt even though about it... hunt looks like he might not rise much more now and i just added it up i can downgrade to hams and that would let me upgrade banner to ablett and pocket..... 700 dollars! so tight that i think i almost have to do it! :D

you would have a pretty killer midfield then! Shuey should come back in soon and if he does he will continue to rise in price, ive kept him too waste of a trade downgrading him!! Midfield is where most of the points are at, so why not go for the best of the best (ablett), for me it is a long way away lol hopefully after round 9 can do it

no worriez....its what im considering too...except not for ablett, a different trade was going to pick up hayes, probably one of my favourite players and hes dropped some money so i want him in my team :)
