Is it worth getting rid of your players that are getting 0's on your bench and are unlikely to play any games in the season?

For instance, i have 4 players on the bench 1 will play some games but 3 looking at lineups will not play any.  Should I trade now before round 4, to make sure my bench is making money? or forget about it

Streisand

Keep in mind i thought they would play, but the question still stands

Diimii

maybe tell us who they are and we can help you?

30. Podsiadly, J
Pts: 0 Avg: N/A $83,400 he will play

29. Rockliff, T
Pts: 0 Avg: N/A $109,200 ????

28. Lobbe, M
Pts: 0 Avg: N/A $100,200 ???? Useless to me but I expect all rookie rucks are

27. McNamara, S
Pts: 0 Avg: N/A $83,400 whom i assume will play if jolly gets injured (I have jolly) so his a backup

24. Davis, P
Pts: 0 Avg: N/A $100,200 ? I wanted to change with Silvagni to make money

Rest play
23. Farmer, M
Pts: 43 Avg: 43.00 $159,500
25. Martin, D
Pts: 72 Avg: 72.00 $169,200
26. Trengove, J
Pts: 46 Avg: 46.00 $174,200

So in summery is it worth changing rockliff & McNamara for playable rookies?

I think Rockliff & Pods shouldn't be too far off from playing. Rockliff has been an emergency for the last two weeks.

McNamara is behind at least Jolly, Fraser & Cameron Wood in the pecking order for rucks at Collingwood. His chances of playing would be unlikely during the season, unless Collingwood's ruck stocks become as depleted as Hawthorn's.

I would expect Lobbe to be given an opportunity some stage during the year, given that Dean Brogan is the only senior ruckman at port with Cloke on the rookie list.

Phil Davis hasn't been given any game time and not even named as an emergency, even with Adelaide's injury list. I don't foresee him getting games anytime soon.

In response to your question about Rockliff & McNamara, I don't see much benefit in trading sideways, particularly with bench players as they will only get points counted if one of your starting lineup doesn't play. However, if you are in the firing line for receiving donuts, then I would consider trading out McNamara for Trengove. If you have the funds go for Warnock. As for Rockliff, keep an eye on the team lineups for round 3. Both Buchanan & Adcock are injured. I think that Rockliff could be next in line depending on team structure. Otherwise, if you want to trade Rockliff for someone who will get game time, consider Gumbleton.

Thanks for your input.  I'm pretty new to this and were not really sure as to where my rookies were even at.

i just tried to get as many people as i could playing on my bench. mostly everyone except in my rucks. which is only trengove

supercoachheroes

maybe trade mcnamara for trencgrove or roughhead otherwise definitly not worth it with rockliff, pods and lobbe. rockliff will play this week and pods soon

oh and i would also do davis so silvagni DEFINITLY if you are willing to burn tradese that is a must before price changes

tom_scully

Depending on how strong the rest of your team is ie. you may need to trade the players on the field for the sake of actual points, the following could be done in this order of importance.

1.Davis should go for Silvagni.

2.Keep Rockliffe as he is almost guaranteed a game this week.

3.Keep Mcnamara as he can be used as your 0 during the next partial lockout.

4. Trade Lobbe (who is no good for SC - not even for MPP) for Warnock for ruck coverage during injury time.
Good luck and well done for asking Q's :)

Davis to Silvagni is a good one as he will rise in price a fair bit to trade out later.
