How to arrange fixtures

With our AF Draft league we usually have no games during byes. However the Afl has scheduled 8 byes this year meaning 8 rounds with no games, So that leaves competition as it stands 14 Rounds with 3 random double ups and 6 team 3 week finals period.
So lets have a discussion on what may be possible.
Options as I see it
1. keep as is.
2, Start later and just have 11 rounds means that you would have 1 round followed by 2 bye rounds.
3, With a list of 50 players do we play through the byes and have a full 2 rounds of home and away games with just a top 4 finals over 2 weeks,

Other thoughts welcome.

4. Play through the early rounds as only two teams with byes and normal cancellation of mid season rounds

Would be great if AF allowed that.  Looked at it but could not see how could set it up in AF.  Can do but requires manual adjustment.

Using this option is what most leagues are doing - nothing to do with AFL Administration; it is up to you to say that is how it is. It disadvantages those teams with large numbers of players from the eight bye teams of Round 0, but as teams only have 15 players in a squad of 50, very unlikely to hugely disadvantage any one team

What will happen as per the AF rules we will play through early bye rounds but not the regular byes.

"If Byes are turned off there will be no League Games during the "regular" Bye Rounds, but the league WILL have fixtures in the "Early" bye rounds."

One coach still to log on and then we can start droping our teams.

You can not load all 50 players as it will not let you load players you did not own eg traded in players and draftees.

Will be working out what to do in this instance,

Everyone your keepers in and finalise them. Then add the new and traded players to make 50 as you are the commissioner
