2022 Reminders and General Discussion Thread

As we now approach the 2022 a couple of updates/information for you.

Trade Period 2 will close on Tuesday 1st March.

Coach for Hoods will be advertised closing Sunday and if no applications will advise what will happen.  If any coach does wish to continue please advise by Friday.

Final team lodgements due 1st March.

Any change to rivalries need to be advised as soon as possible.

Current Rivalries are:
Liverpool Rams v Oxford Lions
Grope Lane Giants v Winchester Werewolves
Bradford Badgers v Wrexham Knights
Manchester v Hastings Hurricanes
Nottingham Hoods v Staines Steins
Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs v Birmingham Dragons
Blackpool Bunnies v Huddersfield Hawks
Leeds Leeches v Swansea Breakers.

There has been very little action here after trade period and draft

Any teams with players who have retired since end of rookie draft will have a supplementary draft pick after 1st march. Draft will be based on ladder positions from 2021.

Now that we have a coach for the Hoods time to get some of the background done prior to the season to assist with administration,

Once logged on can you then go in and nominate players that are being kept from last year. 

Then post in the Commentary Box Players to be added.  I will verify from records and contact with any discrepancies,

As per OP advise any changes in rivalries,

And also we have 3 weeks left of trade period 2. Hoods now may be interested in trades but remember these are 1 for 1.

British Draft has been completed.

Can you check teams and advise any errors. For Hedgies and Lions will finalise once final AFL lists complete.

As we come down to the last three rounds of the competition time to consider what next year may look like.

If you do not wish to continue in the competition please advise by PM if you do not wish to post here,  Obviusly we will need to look at number of teams hence the question as leeches will be an issue to resolve.

Also post any rule changes suggested in the thread for rule changes which we will need to vote on prior to commencement of trade period.

As we approach in the end of season just a couple of things to have thoughts on.
1. Do we want to have an Virtual Awards ceremony here after the grandfinal where all awards are announced?
2. If not an awards night how do we do the final MVP count reveal 1 round each night leading up to the first finals?

Remember to advise if you do not wish to continue as coach for next year,
Also any rule changes have a look in the Rule changes section and add any that may be discussed,

I wouldn't mind a Virtual Awards Ceremony, we've done something similar in ASC the last couple of years. Maybe we could add in a few other awards that we can nominate players for e.g. Coaches Award etc.
