Hey all, getting back to taking Supercoach at least semi seriously this year. Here's my team so far (ignore the VC and C):

The main queries for me are:

1. LDU vs Taranto, I think LDU is in for a big year but I'm conscious I've got a few North players already in my team

2. Goldy vs Gawn. I think Gawn inevitably drops in price, hence my reluctance to pick him. I've also considered Nankervis and Tom Hickey form R2 next to Grundy

3. Are there any essential rookies I'm missing? Feel like I've got the main ones so far.

Couple of things for you

Rozee is out from 3/6 weeks  - Keep an eye on Mills concussion protocols.

Rookies who could be playing not on your list - Bruhn, Brockman, Koschitzke, Fullarton (whilst McStay Out)  Powell,  Charlie Lazzaro, Alex Scott.  In my opinion Cox, Cahill and Macrae unlikely with question marks on Waterman and Treacy given Meek is preferred Ruck and Vardy may be back forward.

LDU and Taranto really a toss of the coin and go with head not heart.

Regarding Rucks something to ponder with Meek assured of games play him at R2 and upgrade to Gawn/Grundy in due course,

Your team though so go with gut in decisions.

I agree with Ringo with the above. Id start by getting rid of Rozee and Goldstein. I love the Tyson pick, im not just not sure how a lot of these midpricers such as him will go. Especially that north were missing a number of key midfielders in the practice game.

tyson and dow - consider rooks instead powell, gulden. frees up cash

i'd have meek as r3

i'd goldstein to gawn

i'd martin + rozee to danger + rook maybe. again frees up cash

all this freed up cash.... you may need one more premium defender given shortage of rooks + goldy to gawn.

It's a different team and I don't mean that negatively. I actually like a lot of the picks. Rozee needs to go after the surgery so that's the first move I would make. Bring Campbell into the forward line and use the Rozee cash to a cheapie rookie like McNeil/Scott. It should give you the cash to upgrade Cox to a premium in defence and help your structure.

As for rookies

Gould to Kosi
Macrae to Brockman
Cahill to Rowe
Collier-Dawkins to Gulden

That should fix most of the problematic ones. Rest should be easy to fix next week

I've taken that onboard, and also had a few changes of mind, so my tweaked team looks like this:

This is a bit of mid price madness, think you need to combine Harmes/Clark and/or Butters/Greene to get a Danger or Daniel.

Going with 1 ruck will help generate good cash from Flynn and Meek.   
Butts is too much cash to sit on a bench.   look at non playing rookie def/mid such as fyfe.
Some big punts on Tyson and Dow.   Tyson may be worth it,  Dow has not proven his is AFL footballer.  rather have a scoring rookie for cash gen.  look at Brockman etc.  move powell onto field in dow's place
Dont think Warner will play and have JS.  look at options

From day 1 I could not see Rowell being a mid keeper and no reason yet to change my mind.   Longer quarters,, less interchange, faster game this year.   Only 4 game player.  Plus other teams will put effort into him as well.   Do not see him  matching a decent m8.   Going to be a SC superstar just not this year.   if he avgs 100 for year you have done well
