So with the season in 2 weeks, tried my hand at making a passable team for the maximum amount of money (for some reason I hate having money left over)

Here it is
Def: Laird, Williams, Duggan, Harmes, L.Jones (port), Gould (Wehr, Highmore)

Mid: Neale, Macrae, M.Crouch, Cripps, Rowell, W.Phillips, E.Smith, T.Bianco (Durdin, Downie, A.Fyfe)

Ruc: Gawn, Grundy (Treacy)

Fwd: Dangerfield, Dunkley, D.Martin, Impey, W.Kelly, Worell (F.Macrae, A.Waterman)

Tried to keep a Guns and Rookies type structure while doing this as well.

I really like the Crouch pick. He looked pretty good early coming back from injury and he should score well for you. I feel you need to get stronger in defence and field only one rookie. I think the forward line is the place to take the hit.

Also with quite a few rookies performing it will give you some time to tinker away and replace guys like Worrell, Kelly etc. that won't play

Agree with Matt here - Take a look at some of the structures of other teams and take what you want from them. Remember it is a marathon not a sprint and in the early rpoounds you are wanting to make cash and most of cash generation could come by going light in the forward line.
