Quite a few changes. Given the unknowns this season ive decided that im going to take some extra risks.

Ive gone off players that require touches to score well as with reduced quarter lengths there is likely to be higher scaling based on effeciency. So someone like Merrett who relies on touches to get points might see reduced scaling in comparison to others.

Laird to Haynes - Laird is so reliant on possessions so willing to take a risk not starting, while Haynes scores consistently of low possession numbers
Oliver to Bont - Can we go without Bont given he scores points for sneezing
Merrett to Fyfe - See Bont
Greenwood to Gray - Gray is such an impactful player while Greenwood is unknown at a new side. Ideally I would take both, but not possible without losing either Ceglar or Smith
Smith to Naismith

$141k in the bank still, but not sure whether I would change anything else. Maybe Smith to Greenwood after the Rookies are done if I can afford it.

So in the end this was the final result of my R1 team

Def was solid and no glaring issues, BZT could have been better and now suspended, so likely only change here
Mids happy on the rookies and willing to back in Danger, plan on moving Bont on to Whitfield as im confident him as a lock, but Mids are so a mixed bag I want to see who will be the top choices.
Rucks Happy with
Fwds, happy with Prems and Taylor. Arguably the only downfall in my starting side was not taking Sturt or Georgiades.

Well, you didn’t lose anything from those rookies anyway, with not in R2

So got some big choices this week.
Overall rank is 254 and have 25 trades.

Defence - Houston needs to go but im not a fan of any of the other options and feel I have bigger concerns. Im tempted to just keep him and say screw it, I won't trade him out, he will be a D6 or D7 come years end, or a luxury upgrade.

Mids - Want to get rid of Danger this week, I see this as a bigger issue than Houston, but again we know what he can do and might be worth keeping him and using trades more agressively on cash generation/injury covers.

Rucks - I dont like having Naismith on the bench and Pittonet needs to be on field if you have him. This is where I could do a make or break move. Trade Grundy out now and move Cameron back onto the ruck bench, I have Ceglar as Cover so losing 1 of the rucks wouldn't be the end of the world as I can cover it. Given the loopholes Zerrett is the play id make.

Fwds - Sturt option to trade to Bennell. Whitfield also is an option to trade out given BE & ? over if he will play. Could bring in another Prem Mid or a Prem Fwd. Rozee was a flop, but Ill hold him as like Houston I need to back him in and keep him as a F6/F& if needed.

Danger to a someone scoring points LS.  Like the team mate you reaped the rewards of some good starting choices.   Whitfield to someone for a cash grab, though if you plan on having him rest of the season money is not relevant.
I was all over greenwood and tracca pre season started neither.    Tracs brought in this week.

Great side abd start. I would hold Grundy will come good. If you must trade maybe go early on cameron >hill
