Was just coming here to ask about Cripps to Whitfield in AFL Fantasy as well.  I'm really scared of the tag that Cripps is likely to get and Whitfield should be good for a ton at the bare minimum.  Would mean I have to swing Duursma into my mids though.

It would mean I have a strong defence of Laird, Lloyd, Whitfield, Smith, Williams, Scrimshaw but my mids would look a little bare with Macrae, Brayshaw, Rockliff, B. Crouch, Liberatore, Walsh, Duursma, Constable.

Doesn't look too bad .. regarding mids

I know it's not that bad but when you take a premium out, even to put one in another line, it makes it look bare, haha.  Hopefully Libba can keep scoring around 90-100 for a while longer as that'll really help plus Walsh and Duursma are fattening up nicely so if things keep going like this I should be able to bolster that midfield again in a couple of weeks.

1. Hurn to Rich - cash
2. Hurn to Whitfield - I think he'll score 130+ against the Tigers
3. Cripps to Rich - cash, stronger def, have to field Petrucelle for this week until I upgrade a forward next week...
4. Cripps to Whitfield - stronger def, have to field Petrucelle for this week until I upgrade a forward next week...
5. Hore to Rozee - should still make more cash and useful DPP for future trades
6. Hore to Collins - should make cash if last week is anything to go by

1. How many times/years has Rich let us down
2. Sounds okay, Whitfield is a machine
3. Refer to answer 1
4. Refer to answer 2
5. Think the ship has sailed
6. Wouldn't rely on Collins to score well from week to week.

Just the way i see it, don't let me influence you in your decision lol

Thanks mate. I was leaning towards one of 2 and 4 already but know how hard I found it to get a complete team last year with poor cash gen so wanted to move Hore onto someone to get some money. Any other Def rookies worth looking at? Already have Duursma, Scrimshaw, Burgess.

Don't think so, thin pickings all around i reckon with rooks at the moment. I like Rozee, just not sure how much you get out of it.

LaHug

I have to decide one of the other... Right now I think it's Rozee for cash vs. Whitfield for points. But Hurn might not score way worse than Whitfield anyway and should I really be moving "keepers" around every week instead of building towards a team of premiums?

Chelskiman

I'm settled on going Cripps to Whitfield if that helps.

That's the magical question ..  :-\

Do you have Hore? If I had no rookie problems, I'd happily to that trade. But I do have rookie problems. And I'd have to choose between fielding Duursma and Scott in that case because Constable's already locked to the bench now...

I don't have Hore in Fantasy which is where I'm making the trade.  What do you deem more important, cash generation for a week or the possibility of a 130+ score?

Cash gen vs. 40 points based on averages... It's a genuinely tough call and I should probably do the cash gen option...

LaHug

I can also go Hore to Wilkie for the cheaper option?

Ringo

Just doing a cash Grab - Goldy to Mumford and then using a little Simmo to Lloyd. Cash now $254k

Cripps and Heeney doing well, Setterfield spudding it up

LaHug

So Heeney to Worpel ended up being awful. Couple that with choosing against the Hurn to Whitfield trade (did Hore to Lockhart instead - could've been worse I guess) and we've summed up my season pretty well.
