Trialling exciting new concept in Ultimate Footy 2019

Due to the fast take up of Under the Radar 1, I’m thinking of trialling a second 10 team keeper league in 2019 where the focus is on fielding a side with a balanced distribution amongst the players of games played. Players are divided into four categories of experience.

After consulting with other coacuhes I have prepared a list of the best 300 players (out of a total of 717) consisting of 80 Orange, 100 Yellow, 90 Green and 30 Blue. Using this list I will randomly allocate to each coach a squad of 30 players consisting of 8 Orange, 10 Yellow, 9 Green and 3 Blue. This balance must be maintained throughout the season. At the end of the season 2 Orange, 5 Yellow, 7 Green and 2 blue must be retained making a total of 16 keepers.

Note: The game tally for each player in the pool and their matching colour code will be updated at the end of round 23 each year (from 2019 onwards). Players will remain the same colour for the season.

Your squad of 30 players consists of 22 starters (6 Orange, 8 Yellow, 6 Green, 2 blue), 4 emergencies and 4 bench. Emergency and bench players can be any colour. As well as having 8 players in your side to cover for injuries/bad form you will also be able to acquire (immediately after the draft) any number of the 397 free agency players left in the pool (146 Orange, 87 Yellow, 118 Green, 46 Blue). Free agent signings are unrestricted until the start of round 1 when it becomes a maximum of 6 per week with a limit of 100 for the season.
