Las Vegas Sinners 18.9.117 defeated Colorado Avalanche 14.7.91

Dark day at the office for Colorado, as they stumble to a very low score on the back of 9 scores of 60 or below, and their captain and vice-captaining only putting up 70 and 67 respectively. But that takes nothing away from Las Vegas who put up a decent score despite a few 40s themselves, with C Rockliff and VC Fyfe doing a lot of damage in a win that will massively help their percentage - which could prove vital later in the season.

Quito Quetzals 17.9.111 lost to Wisconsin Cockerels 18.10.118

What looked to be a big match between two contenders was...okay. Wasn't as good as I thought it would be but it was still a decent enough match. Quito had a wealth of tons but were let down massively by four of their backs scoring 39, 45, 54, and 6, while VC Jeremy Cameron only managed 29 - say Cameron manages a standard ton and Quito get the win (let alone if Burton didn't get hurt as well). But alas it was not to be as Wisconsin take home the win back up North, but will be concerned by having two scores in the 30s themselves - which a dominant midfield effort more than made up for.

Houston Bombers 20.5.125 lost to Carolina Panthers 20.8.128

What a game! Carolina sneak over the line to grab a massive victory, while Houston are extremely unlucky in defeat as they'll probably be the 2nd or 3rd highest scoring side of the round. The two Kelly's on Sunday were the big difference in getting Carolina home with the four points, while VC Grundy was also 140+. Houston had very few passengers and captained their highest scorer - 138 from Sloane - but it just wasn't enough - but it will give them a reason to be optimistic about their scoring capacity!

Ottawa had a very nice week (of course it's against me!)...but it's not like they would have lost with just an okay week, as only really Heath Shaw tried his best. A very diverse range of centurions for Ottawa was the difference, with only Lloyd standing out as a 110+ score (captaincy option?), while the aforementioned Heater was BOG.

Anaheim Mighty Ducks 17.8.115 defeated Boston Terriers 17.7.114
(Real: 1727 vs 1716)

Another gritty (or lucky?) win by the Ducks, as the HGA of star player Michael Hibberd got them over the line in a much closer game than the best lists would suggest. Four scores in the 40s were a dampener on what could have been a very good score by the Ducks, while Boston didn't have as many passengers but couldn't match the star power, as is evident below.

New Brooklyn Hawks 15.14.104 lost to Chicago Sharks 21.7.133
(Real: 1564 vs 1999)

It was probably for the best that NBH decided to take it easy on this week, because even if they put in a very nice score in the 120s they still would have gone down to a very big Chicago score, without the sub required or HGA - having a 175 as captain is almost a guaranteed victory. Chicago also had a number of other centurions to further run up the score - and the percentage. Cripps as captain was always a safe bet for NBH's best score, but they had a large number of passengers and Crouch's injury-affected 54 as VC.
