hey guys,
with the craze of upgrading and searching for money, i’ve found myself in a good position (finally) and was looking at Sicily

it’s great having a fwd/def with such explosive scores but i’m genuinly lost as to where he fits in my final team

my question is; do you think there are stronger forwards and therefore throw him the backline
or do you think the backline is stronger(or less depleted) and he should be a forward

ubeaut

It's debatable where he fits best.
I'm playing him as a fwd atm due to better backline rookies, but see him in my backs eventually.

Yeo,Simpson,Laird,Hurley,Hibberd,Sicily my final backline.

Gray,Heeney,McLean,Smith,Walters,Buddy my final fwd line.
Don't have Gray or Buddy yet and want them both,so no room for Sicily.

That's my situation, but everyone has a slightly different one.
Even without Keefe u can always swing him back or fwd when trading/upgrading rookies. So get him where u need strength the most right now.

To be honest I think there are far more fwd line options. Apart from those I mentioned there's Hogan,Taranto,Mundy,Robinson,Darling u could make a case for.
I don't see that many options down back so Sicily better down back imo.

I'll just leave this here ;D

Where do we all see this flog bloke in our final sides? I'm thinking forward.

Defender prems (must haves eventually I believe):

Laird, Hurley, Yeo, Simpson

Forward prems (" "):

Heeney, McLean, Gray

Because of that I'd say it'd make more sense for him to end up in the forward line. Leaving 2 positions on each line open, which leaves spots for guys like Lloyd, Savage, Witherden, Touhy, Robinson, Franklin, Walters, Mundy, Smith etc. etc. to fill those two spots on each line. Rather than only 1 defender and being forced to find 3 forwards.

2 weeks ago I thought defence, but now I’m leaning towards forwards as well.

It will depend on who is performing best once we get all of the 7 “must-haves” you listed. By then we should have a decent body of work to make a solid judgement.

And you can always use Keefe to swing ?

i feel like there are more forwards averaging over 100 so throw him down back,

but my pet hate is key forwards
although i’m slightly lenient on hogan’s new ‘nick riewoldt’ esk role

even then i only see gray, mclean, heeny and devsmith as guaranteed in my final team

Same here.

It's a bit of a raffle after those 4 forwards.

I have them all in my team and Fritsch and Ronke at F5 and 6 now.

Threw Sicily up back as my backline needed strengthening.

I have my eye on Menegola also. When Danger-wood-blett have all played he's scored 57, 128, 132.  No different to the Buddy roller coaster  :-X

With the R14 bye he has plenty of games ahead to prove his worth.

Could be a good pick Menegola.

Good idea to see how he goes for a few more weeks with the big 3 in the midfield now.

i have 12 plays playing in round 14, with a ranking of around 2k, something needs to change

if i come out of byes in the same region of ranks that i started off at then ill be stoked

unless menegola shines bright after round 14, im going to have to pass
although i was wrong in thinking that the inclusion of ablett was going to ruin his scores, he seems to be getting good midfield minutes

im thinking

Is it worth bringing in Keefe for Murphy to link up with Sicily? Mirra is my D7 but hoping one of these guys plays soon. Don’t have Hurley.

I've always loved DPP, and you might not have Hurley, but what happens in 2 weeks *if* (and I hope not) some1 goes down and Mirra/Murphy are still not playing? Keefe will me a more expensive swing or you'll be forced abandon you trade plans and shoe in whoever you can afford to upgrade Mirra to. Not ideal.

If Murphy isn't named his week I'll personally be going Murphy -> Keefe to cover Hurley.
