Okay so tracking along nicely for Rd1.
Coming into Sunday I am playing with the idea of

Lobb

Lobb down to Ryan (play on field or sub for Langdon)
Conigilo Up to whatever Mid (for arguments sake Ablett - gives me 144.7k in the bank)
Also who to pick between Franklin and Heeney. Yeah I know Franklin will drop in price but I believe Heeney will too. Currently have Heeney but thinking Buddy may go bang againest the Eagles.

so essentially

Lobb + Conigilo 44kish  v Ryan + Ablett  with 147k

and then

Franklin v Heeney

I'd probably go Heeney, but tough to split those two.

Would go Lobb + Cogs easily.

Ablett saying he is playing as a mid is sooo tempting.

How has Buddy performed lately againest the Eagles? It's just because Heeney did not impress during JLT

See thats the thing by picking Buddy, he's a week-to-week type of player, could come out this week and kick 10 and go 160+, or get 1-2 and only go 60-70 odd. He scored 77 against WC last year.

I couldn't pick Ablett myself, but wouldn't talk you out of picking him either. Go with your gut ;)

Want to tell me who will kick 10 this week and 160+ this week too...

Got the 160 easily but not quite the 10 haha. Hope you got him, but if you've got Heeney he played pretty well too. Was a win-win in the end :)

Heeney sadly, however only Rd1 would have been placed 340th if Buddy was in but oh well He'll drop a few 60s in there and Heeney's consistency should hopefully help out there.

Ones who just missed out: Hurley, Lloyd, Bonner, Ablett, Cripps, S.Martin, English, Franklin, Greene.

Score: 2392
Rank: 2223
Trades Planned: None.

Defence: 7/10.

Stuffed it by having Doedee on the B, So quick thinking traded Ryan (WC) to Keeffe and swapped Sicily into the forwards. Savage didn't show too much dash which looked to be from Cameron forward pressure/tag but still a respectable 92. Fielding Murray, Finlayson and Doedee was successful with Naughton being the only let down.

Midfield: 8.5/10

Had bad FOMO with a solid 139 VC from Dusty which cost me sticking with Titch. Kelly was solid without being great. Fyfe should comfortably bounce back this week. Coniglio performed well allowing me to spend money elsewhere which resulted well in the end. Danger on the bench allowed me to see how Banfield played and took a gamble on Holman scoring more which worked. Barry showed flashes but not much hopefully keeping his place in Port's 22. Kelly = Gun, being a Cats supporter very excited to see what he can bring to the already stacked midfield.

Rucks: 8/10.

Gawnstein scored well, Was slightly concerned after Goldy had a 50 odd 1st qtr, But won't be playing in a cyclone every week so hopefully he can run out games and contribute for 4 quarters.

Forwards: 7/10.

Heeney over Franklin was my mistake. Heeney will still be a excellent choice, however those extra 70 points could have kickstarted this season well. Billings was solid and should look to hopefully kick straighter and build on what looks to be a good season ahead. Smith was another good without being great, Will be interesting to see if Zerrett is named which if not should give him more mid time. Sicily will be loopholed most weeks with Keeffe to find a good scoring rookie early into the weekend. Lobb was a last minute decision which with more game time should improve in the 1st ruck position. All rookies were what I expected.

---

$44,200 remaining, Not alot but better than nothing.

It's fantastic to think I scored what I did with Danger on the bench. Should contribute straight away and his ownership at 19.3% excites me because some might have money to tinker with their teams but most won't.

Will be keeping an eye on Rookies and Bonner and will switch accordingly before Round 3, but for now, I will sit tight, and have faith in what I've picked.

Score: 2400
Rank: 605
Trades Planned: Unsure whether downgrades or upgrades?

Defence: 9/10.

Murphy performing Thursday let me bench a iffy Naughton and claim his solid 80. Murray underperformed but was held up by 2 rookie tons.

Midfield: 8.5/10

Made a mistake of not VC'ing Dusty which I thought Kelly would capitalise on a poor Collingwood. Took a chance on Danger for C (Feels weird writing that) with him basically being a POD. Everyone else was solid including a decent Holman who is proving his worth.

Rucks: 7/10.

Goldy was better this week. With Gawn slightly being underwhelming. (Did go up against a Solo Martin so didn't expect too much.)

Forwards: 6/10.

Heeney came good after a horrid 1st quarter. Dev was good. Billings let me down but was okayish. Sicily is a flog and after getting rubbed out for 1 week I'll be considering moving him along. Lobb scored poorly but will bounce back as he wont have 11 clangers every week.

---

$44,200 remaining

A few poor scores but some big ones to add to it. Looking to do a few corrections this week. In the backline I'd like Simpson ideally but if not Bonner could provide good scores as well as a good return. Midfield looks solid for now, but could potentially move on Brayshaw as being a premium rookie doesn't seem to be performing any better than the cheaper ones. Rucks are fine. and Forwards I want to move along Sicily if I could for a better premo seeing as how he can't control himself and it's only Rd 2.

Potentials

Brayshaw > Ryan via Garlett
Sicily > Simpson (needing Brayshaw to downgrade)
Keeffe > to low breakeven rookie
Sicily > Performing Forward Premo

Suggestions welcome...

Bloody good team matt.   Done well with high scoring Def rookies covering the lack of depth.  Gives you great depth in the mids and you picking the right rookies to play as well.
Not much to say other than congratulations.

Thanks. Thoughts on what I do with Sicily? I'm torn between holding or trading.

I'd do Langdon to Ryan and loophole him with Garlett to cover for Sicily for the week.

Hold Sicily, he'll come good in the long run.
