I actually had W.Rioli. But I just downgraded Byrne and Brodie to see if I could fit Cyril in as I had cash leftover and it worked lol. Will probably need at least one pricey mid rookie so not sure he stays.
Might be enough midprice risks with Sicily,JOM and Lycett.

Is Riloi going to play Rd 1 heard he was doubtful.

Gutsy with Lycett and Cameron given that Cameron really looked out of his depth last night and easily beaten by Simpson.

The only doubtful prem keeper of the 13 i see is Sicily.  If he does not work out you will then have to use probably 2 more trades.

just see what rookies are available Rd 1 and then adjust team accordingly.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the loaded mids team, as I think you'll struggle to generate enough cash for upgrades, and get enough points up forward and in defence. Premium picks are all good though, I really want to start Sloane but that damn bye is putting me off haha.

Lycett is poo though.

Ok. So say I drop a premo mid and brought in a ruck for Lycett.
Ryder ( 100) + rookie mid ( 65) vs
Sloane/Merrett (110) + Lycett (70-85)
Even worse case with Lycett I'm ahead on points.
The other option is bring in another premo fwd/back. The problem is I'm finding it hard to pick anyone.
Backline-
If I get Hurley/Yeo I feel they are overpriced,will drop in value and along with Laird,Hibberd and Sicily just too much cash down back especially if we get 5 rookies there which is looking likely imo. There are quite a few mids around their price or a bit more that will score more (Parker,Cripps,Treloar,Bont,Beams,Pendles) rather have a mid for their price.
I don't trust Brayshaw,Heater,McGrath,Hanley,Witherden,McDonald,Lloyd etc.
Roberton and Savage im not keen on especially with their bye.
Forwards -
If we don't get 4 rookies I may have to get another fwd.
Not convinced Petracca will get the mid time he needs. Same with Curnow. Barlow,Mundy and Boak are all in the twilight career wise. Barlow would be my pick of these but so many young mids at GC and they will not be a high scoring SC team.
Don't trust the doggies fwds too much rotating fwd with Libba the only one who will play predominantly mid.
That leaves the expensive Billings and Buddy who have that crap bye and again it's alot of money to spend on a line that is not the mids! 4 premos + Bundy just looks like overkill.

So basically I get the need for team balance and making mony off the mid rookies who are usually the most lucrative BUT I'm having trouble picking where to spend that cash from dropping from 6 to 5 mid premiums.

Lycett could get dropped after round 1 and then you will need to use two trades to get someone in. Risk does not outweigh the reward in that case.

Im all for going a little weak in other lines but think O'meara at M7 is overkill, I tried to make it work but I just couldnt. Downgrade him to a rookie and you'll be able to get some more super premos in even if they are a little over priced.

So I stuffed a few picks up. The rolling lockout really stuffs things around and add the Danger situation and I wavered too much from my initial team.

I really wanted/needed to trade after 1st round to have 3-4 trades to fix things, but wasn't quite sold on trading any -Venables as Ryan was just as quiet. Hibberd I thought deserved another go but got that wrong too! Brayshaw,Bonner and L.Fogarty also needed another look also. Almost grabbed Danger for Merrett but again thought it best to see them both as Merrett got concussed,Danger hadn't played and was coming off injury.

Anyway that leaves me with 2 trades before price change and at least 3 problems.
1.)Hibberd. Had a funny feeling something wasn't quite right but dismissed it as nerves/paranoia. Simpson is killing it with no Doch, Yeo and Hurley doing well also.
2.)Venables. Tossing up for ages between him and Ryan and picked the wrong one.
3.)No Danger(or Oliver/GAJ/Conigs). Should have booted Merrett before round 2 but couldn't bring myself to do it. He will be tagged more often this year. I thought tagging was almost non existent nowadays but it is back.
4.) No Bundy. Had him ALL preseason but was put off by JLT. Fielding 2 fwd rookies sux.
5.) Brayshaw wasted on the bench with Kelly and Holman doing well.

I have 235k in the bank which is way more than I planned, but after setting aside 150k for Danger there was nowhere to spend the rest.

Any ideas how to fix the mess? Team looks good on paper but I've had a shocking start with Merretts 17 + 95, Hibberds two 70s and Kelly then Holman on bench in rounds 1+2 respectively.

Whoever I don't trade will go for Higgins/Coffield next week

Merrett > Danger or Coniglio +200+k?
                                or Oliver + 100+k?
Not sold on Crowden (JS and scoring)

If I pick Richards I have to bench Holman again and play Kelly+Finlayson.
If I pick Henry I lose Ryan as a loophole this week and the opportunity to open DPP with Garlett if Higgins comes in for Brayshaw instead of Ryan next week.

It seems to me Richards has the best JS until Crozier returns. Henry the next best with Cats injuries,only threat is Henderson.
Crowden the least with Hill to return. Or am I wrong about this order?

Team is as above with Ryan instead of Langdon.

Really appreciate thoughts/suggestions as had a crappy start with Zerrett(missed trading to Danger at last minute,got locked out)
Hibberd,Sicily suspended,Langdon and then his replacement Ryan injured. Need to make some good trades to improve on my 20k ranking, worst start in years.

I'd do Ryan to Henry.
and Merrett to Coniglio - Coniglio has another low B/e and will continue to rise whereas Danger has a B/e of 216 and will drop cash so can be target in 2/3 weeks.
