Its also hard to pick him with both fyfe and neale in their midfield. If he had defender status a huge amount of teams would have selected him

Yep in the same boat, starting in AF at the moment.

Food for thought though, take out his two injured games and he averages 99.7 raw, obviously not good enough for a premium mid spot, but it gets more interesting.

That's two sub 100 games, one of them being a 98. 6 110+ games & 3 120+ games in his last 11 appearances for the year. Average of 110.1 in just his second year too, so there's reasonable assumption there might be some improvement yet.

I wont be starting him, but I'd actually say he has a lot of upside compared to some of the others I've seen people rave on about considering he's priced at just 91 and actually has 2017 scoring stats to use as a gauge. If you could use the 100k between him and a premo, or the 50k from him to Parker for example, somewhere better on the field, it could really pay off and you'd be laughing. I think he's primed for a big year. Didn't have a massive JLT, but we seem to forget every year not to read too much into it.

This. Super tempted, grabbed him in my draft side because he was an animal before his injury. Think I can only grab one Freo mid right now and that guy is Fyfe.

Blakely not getting DEF/MID has to be an oversight, he played there the vast majority of the year.

Lobb being FWD only is a let down too.

Issue is you have Fyfe & Neale as prems then Banfield & Brayshaw as rookie options.

As others have said would be a massive chance if named as a Defender, but he wasn't so its a no.
