2018 Supercoach Team Advice

Hi All

Keen to get some advice on my team below :)

Of course all the rookies are pending JLT etc more looking for advice on prem's / mid pricers.

Def: Laird, Hibberd, Lloyd, Birchall, O'Shea, Murray    (Doedee, Johnson)

Mid: Dangerfield, Martin, T Mitchell, Cripps, Shiel, Rayner, Davies-Uniacke, Garlett   (Wigg, Naish, Ainsworth)

Rucks: Gawn, Naitanui     (De Koning)

Forwards: Heeney, D Smith, De Goey, C Curnow, Christensen, Ahern    (Fogarty, L Keeffe)

Interesting team so some comments:

Defence: Solid Prems not really sold on Lloyd but that is personal - Keep an eye on Birchall as well with his injury and preparation.
Mids: Danger, Martin, Titchell and Cripps solid. Really concerned with Shiel at the price of $537k. Has not averaged more than 103 in 6 seasons and has too wide a deviation for mine. 10 scores less than 90 last year does not give confidence for a premium. Your decision though and would look at others around that price range.
Rucks: Just watch Natanui I have cooled on him as he is still not training fully.
Forwards: Watch Heeney with his injury. In my opinion forwards could be a lottery this year so choices sound.  However I would downgrade one of DeGoey/Curnow to AhChee or playing rookie and use funds to upgrade Natanui to Jacobs/McEvoy or similar.
As I advise all newbies if in doubt over a selection go with gut as it is seldom wrong.  Also feel free to comment on teams as we are all the same just offering opinions.

Brendan Ah Chee from West Coast. Left Port for opportunities and from all reports going well at Eagles.

West Coast is the Ah Chee that people on Fan Footy rate highly as he is a gun in the midfield at the lower levels and people are assuming he can replecate it at the higher one in a new club.

Your least favourite forward out of Smith, De Goey, Curnow down to Ah Chee then Nic Nat to Jacobs and then upgrade Shiel.

Reason i have stayed with C Curnow is i think his potential is through the roof! recon in for a huge year rotating through mid / fwd

Yea a lot of my rookies are going to be in and out pending JLT :) Thanks for the observation
