The list update takes into account the retirements of Garrick Ibbotson and Zac Dawson, while senior listed players Zac Clarke, Jon Griffin and Sam Collins and rookies Josh Deluca and Matthew Uebergang have been advised that their contracts would not be extended for the 2018 season.

Though the moving on of Collins doesn't surprise me,it bemuses me a bit.He must have been trouble or had trouble.He looked good at times even though a bit slow.Another Jacob Ballard.

I agree that is the odd one out the announced delistings.

Suban & Sutcliffe - Nothing, so either we are going to re-sign or trade (I think)

I haven't read it anywhere, but have been told that Sam Collins has won Peels F&B.If this is so, then it is the same scenario of Jacob Ballard.

Collins wasn't up to it at AFL level, just too slow and had poor disposal. It was pretty telling that he couldn't get a look in even with no Alex Pearce. Good WAFL player but that's about it.

I'm more surprised about Deluca tbh, thought he showed some signs. But he was only able to impact games when playing through the middle at WAFL level, and there was no chance he was going to crack our midfield with how many guys we have running through there.
