Rd1 Update

Score: 2049
Rd 1 Rank: 28779

Rd 1 Team:
Cash $54k
Def: Docharty, Laird, Mills, Marchbank, Hamton, Stewart (Otten, Hibbard)
Mid: Dangerfield, Steven, Mitchell, T.Adams, D.Beams, O'Meara, Swallow (J.Barret, J.Pickett)
Ruc: S.Martin, Gawn (Pruess, Cameron)
Fwd: Macrae, Dahlhaus, Roughead, Nankervis, Taranto, Butler (Houston, Eddy)

RD1 Review:
Was happy with some aspects of my team, but then unhappy with other. Dissapointed in the O'Meara/Swallow situation, but I expect O'Meara to bounce back and Swallow to have a similar start (hopefully this week). Nervous about Horlin-Smith as he only had 64% TOG although did score at a good rate, so that's enough to merit selection again this week in my side. I think I have my structure right at this point. An obvious disappointment was the rookies output, which leaves me nervous that some might not get selected this week.

Trades:
The trades I have in mind are Taranto out for Hoskin-Elliot. Was at the game and Taranto didnt seem up to scratch in my opinion; he seemed to be lacking in fitness. Hopefully with Aish coming back it doesnt affect WHE's scoring and he continue on this path, a low BE will atleast help him for a couple weeks.
The other trade inmind is Mills out for ZJones, Mills didnt seem to be finding the ball at all it what I saw as a pretty poor Sydney performance on a whole (maybe the wet weather affected him?), but i was impressed with Jones who seemed to be the main person running from the defense through the midfield, hopefully he doesnt go missing like he did in the second half of last game though.

Round 7 Update

Round 7 Trades:
Neal-Bullin OUT, Jake Barrett IN
Beams OUT, Myers IN
Was away on holiday so didn't really have too much time to think about trades, Barrett is a risk, but hopefully he can hold his spot for a few weeks and make me some quick cash.

Score: 2042
Rd 7 Rank: 12212
Overall Rank: 21435

After copping a donut, and having to take an emergency score from a late out, I wasnt too disappointed in my score. Especially after my trades which should really set me up for a couple of weeks.

Cash for round 8: 984k  :P

Round 8 trades:
At the moment I'm thinking WHE to Zach Merrett which gives me 4 of the top 5 scoring players this season (waiting on Sloane to drop in price again hopefully).

The second trade is causing me issues though. At the moment O'Meara, Hampton and Houston are the main three in the firing line. At this stage I'm hoping O'Meara can get up this week and live up to the hype that we've all hoped for this season and pay me back for having to hold on to him for this long. This leaves me with deciding on Hampton and Houston which at this point im leaning towards trading out Houston for Yeo (waiting for NROO to drop in price more, and not fully sold on Heeney yet) and then hopefully next week I can swing Adams back into defense and trade out Hampton for Sloane.

Any other suggestions or ideas are welcome

Errr yeah, time to upgrade me thinks. Use that $984k!!

Zerrett I'd lock in for sure! However I'd consider something different:
JOM -> Zerrett.  JOM has been ruled out for a few weeks so I say get rid of him for sure.
Then Hampton -> Yeo/Dusty/Shuey swinging Tay Adams back. Their bye is the nice one and everyone is going to be fine in that bye, so any of those guys would be good.

WHE may drop a bit, but he should give you a better score than Hampton does this week. Then you can move on WHE and Houston next week :)

There's my thoughts anyway.

You think Hampton out over Houston?
I am kind of hoping one or the two of them get dropped so I dont have to worry about cash being burned.

Houston will be on the plane tomorrow morning. Seeing as he's played every game, and we have 0 injuries, I don't think he will go. But his role definitely has less ball now that Hombsch, Hartlett and Pittard are all playing. We go through all of them before Houston.

I'm trading Hampton out, Houston will probably go next week, but I think there's a better chance of him junking it up and scoring nicely than Hampton.

In that case I think I would prefer Hampton out, Houston to defense and Yeo into the forward lines.

Im thinking I will hold Jaeger just due to the fact that he won't lose any money this week. Im scared that WHE could lose me 10 or 20k. I am going for league wins so building a stronger final team and the extra money is probably more important.
