AFL Twitter and FB have just started doing these for 2017 so thought we could put them all in one place as these opinions are straight from the coaches. As always coaches lie (A lot) so be wary!

Gold Coast (Rodney Eade):
-Ablett and Ainsworth to play at least some small forward
-Sam Day to play forward and back swingman role
-Hanley through midfield mostly, some HB
-Barlow tagger/high HF
-David Swallow training 'exceptionally well' and playing 'mainly' in midflield
-Touk Miller to play 'a good chunk' in midfield
-Ainsworth and Bowes 'pushing' for R1, Brodie maybe midseason and Scrimsaw, Scheer closer to the end of the season

Im liking Ainsworth and Miller
however that bye is turning me off, especially when you consider Ryder and a couple of Ports rookies

He said Lonergan would play in Swallow's spot last year which was a bit off, so it's hard to say. At least Miller has played midfield in his career and played well so there are positive indicators

Looks like Ainsworth and Bowes are the GC rookies we should have. Rocket saying we Brodie wouldn't be ready till mid year and the others late in the year
