Simpson, Adams, Laird, Hartlett, McGrath, Stewart, Emer: Ryan Hibberd (kang)

Danger, Treloar, Fyfe, Beams, Murphy, Swallow (GC), McCluggage Myers Emer: Berry, Ainsworth, Barrett

Grundy, Sandi

Dahl, Macrae, Motlop, Devon Smith, Josh Thomas, Turner Emer: Bowes, Brown

$4,100 left in the kitty

The obvious is my "mid range" mids but lets be fair dinkum....Fyfe Beams Murphy and Swallow are well and truly unders. ill track there pre season but i fairly comfortable with the "risk" of these players.

Anyways fire away with suggestions/thoughts

Got some suggestion for your team

Def: 4 Prem maybe 1 to many maybe get 1 more prem mid and defenders normally will score the least in your whole team so maybe get rid of 1 and used that money to get a another prem mid.

Mid: Great mid just unsure about Murphy keep a close eye on him in the JLT Cup and with Mcullage (I didn't spell it right) maybe move him to the fwd and there as many good fwd rooks and there are a lot of good mid rooks you could get but just watch the JLT Cup to see what rooks stand up.

Ruc: Don't see grundy as a prem maybe go after someone like mummy as I think his a better option or found the money to get a Goldy or Gawn.

Fwd: you weakest part of your team Motlop should go and go ahead and get Ryder as he will earn you some money and he can be a backup ruck if one of them get injured. Maybe to many mid pricers  in your fwd maybe get some expensive rooks like Bowes mccluagge and watch them in the JLT Cup.

Good luck there still a bit of room to work on but after those changes your team will look good.

Hi,
Definetly a different team to the normal we are seing, not sure i really like it much though.

Def - Simpson you will be paying overs for and while he is a strong option you can get Shaw at a cheaper price with alot more history of scoring 100+ behind him, Adams is injury prone but if you want him i can't fault the pick, he will be a popular pick this year im expecting near on 45%+ of teams. Hartlett while has potential is fraught with danger, midpricers are very difficult to pick so id suggest dropping him to have some cash to improve other lines.

Mids - Maybe use the money from Hartlett to upgrade Murphy to a locked in super prem.

Rucks - Running Grundy at R1 is suicide, you have to have atleast 1 of Gawn or Goldy otherwise you are going to be running behind the pack with a paddle and no water.

Fwds - Dahl and Macrae i can fault, Motlop is not worth a starting position, best to keep an eye on him as an upgrade target. While you could use Ryder im not a fan of that pick, think its a wasted spot with little chance turning into a top 10 premium. Smith im also not sold on, he is in a team that is rich in point scorers, whos going to lose points for him to gain them?

I like that this team is unique from most.

You need to have one of Gawn/Goldy from the start or else you'll be falling behind the pack from day one (unless you see Grundy outscoring either of them)

Defence is strong can't really fault.

Mids are probably slightly weaker but as you said there is a lot of value in there.

You need to improve your rucks as mentioned earlier

Forwards aren't too bad really like that you're trying to add some pods.

If I was you I would do something like this:
Put Mcluggage in the forward line for Motlop

Hartlett > Schreanberg
Grundy > Goldy
Motlop > Pendles

If you can afford it.

cheers for the feedback people.

Valid points. Definately some danger in there for sure but ay, lets be serious....how may times is this going to change prior to round 1!!!

Just getting some feedback on different strategies. There is some serious value in some mid range if you want to take the risk....watch this space.

The way i see it is you'll loose a lot of points early.

Only 8 guys i can say are shoe ins to be premiums barring injury and then you've picked guys who are 50/50 and i cannot see being top 10 in their position (top 3 ruck).

Murphy, Swallow are at best bench options but realistically stepping stones.
Motlop is pretty much Atley, promises so much each year and rarely delivers.
Grundy and Sandi are decent but both will lose atleast 5 points on average per match to Goldy and Gawn.
Smith will be hurt by deledio one of he and greene will push more midfield and the other would be unlikely to play. Greene clearly ahead of him.

Beams and Hartlett are definitely worth the risk, but considering the other 6 just mentioned if either of them get injured you'll be in an almighty hole
