So i'm looking for a good Canon for sports photography. Hoping to find a fairly cheapish one $600-850??

Which ones are the ones that fit that criteria? :)

Marcz has a photography thread somewhere, hed be the bloke to ask. Pretty clued up on the subject and not a bad with a camera in his hand.

I asked the same thing last year when I was after a cheap camera for traveling in Nepal. Marc said he doesn't know much about normal digital cameras, but if you're after an SLR camera give him a shout. He did direct me to this website, which is where I ended up buying my camera. It's a great site, and if you live in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne they have a store you can go to instead of buying online :)

Why do you specifically want a Canon over say a Nikon, Sony etc?

Hey thanks guys. Ended up buying one earlier today (didn't see the replies  :-[) bought a Canon EOS 640D with twin lenses. Decided to go with an all round camera than a specific sports one. To answer your question CF I really just prefer Canon but would have been open to getting any of those brands.  :)

I am quite camera knowledgable. Feel free to ask me.

MTTY: I would have suggested a Sony 5N as it has a speed burst mode of 10fps, which is exceptional and much better than those offered by a DSLR in the price range your looking at. Shoot at a high shutter speed in day light and youll get shots like these.

Keep in mind this guy is time trialling and doing a fair speed, yet I stopped him in his tracks!

Buddy, listen, here you can check the prices for canon https://www.camera-warehouse.com.au/canon_eos  but honestly speaking, if you want latest flagship release than nothing beats Canon EOS-1D X Mark II.
