A looooong way out from round one just yet, so hard to try to select a side.
I think that our recruits from this year will have to prove themselves at pre season level before getting a look in.
Though I have to say I am impressed by us getting Logue. He looks like he could be ready made.
If Johnson and Dawson are fit and ready they will play.
I agree with you on Kersten.He will have to have a big pre season and  good scratch match form to be selected.

Logue is ready to go but he can't see him holding down FB straight away. He'll come off the bench. Similar for Ryan. He'll need to prove himself. Johnson (if available) or Ibbo in for one. Sherridan/Sutcliffe for the other to start with.
I reckon Kersten will walk in with a full preseason and Ballas should bounce back and start over Yarran
One of Griff/Clarke has to play too

There was lots of talk late season that Apeness could be the 2nd ruck behind Sandi... so options are still there.

Apeness could still be the second string ruckman, but after signing Clarke again, I don't see that happening,Apeness will have to fight it out for a spot up forward with the others available.
I don't hold out much hope of us having Yarran, so will make a spot available for some keen young kid.
Logue will probably be the only draftee that will crack it for the first round.But it wont be FB. Remember we have Alex Pearce to come back as well.
Looking at Sean Darcy, he is carrying some puppy fat at the moment.He will lose most of that in pre season.He will be put through the wringer.He may get a crack at various stages , but a long term prospect. Watching some video of him, he is big for sure, has good hands.He seems quick as well with good hand.He is certainly strong in close and seems hard to stop at contests.

I honestly think Luke Ryan is a chance for round 1 - mature age body and he is a rebounding defender which we need.

Not sure that will happen.Remember that Collins was supposedly ready at round one this season,yet was held back for quite some time.
I think they will have a good look Ryan before making that choice.
I think Dawson, Pearce and Ibbotson will get the nod before him.
