Backline dilemma

Really struggling to work out what to do here.

Current back-line:

Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Gibson, Laird, McDonald (Collins, Joyce)

So one more premo to get in, every other position in my team is done. Some down hill skiers but have to keep them.

6 trades left, $143k

Options as I see them are:

1- Trade McDonald to JJ which will leave me with 5 trades and $12k. Trading McDonald leaves me with $465 to spend, I think JJ is the best option. Probably the only other player I'd consider is McVeigh.
2- Trade McDonald and Collins to Broad and any player I want
3- Do nothing this week

and what's doing my head in:

1- Not sure I can trust JJ because of his hammie, I think his average will be high enough if he can stay on the park. Also $12k might not be enough for emergency trades.
2- If I get say Boyd, I'd have $79k left but only 4 trades left for injury/suspensions trades. Collins is also a good emergency.
3- Not an option because I need wins in one of my cash leagues.

I'm probably leaning towards option 1 but would love to hear other thoughts.

Not gonna happen but thought I'd mention him. Like I said I at the price range I think JJ is the man. Who knows McVeigh might come good after the bye?

His already come good with back to back tons (Pre & Post bye) - If you have your heart set on JJ then go for it!

Yeah, RaisyDaisy's reply confused me a bit, I took at as though why would I even consider him.

Yeah, McVeigh is the guy I would pick in one trade

Much more proven over JJ and has a solid history of performing stronger in the 2nd half of seasons

Oh I assumed wrong, OK thanks.

He's been up a bit up and down this year hence why I wasn't sure about him. A history of performing better in the 2nd half is a good point.
