Shaw a sure thing or do the Doc?

Hi Guys and Gals,

I held off getting Docherty this week for my final back line upgrade for DBJ hoping he would drop some more and had 6 Def playing on field and took Collins score. However, now that Shaw had a stinker and in a few weeks his price will be plummeting, I'm thinking he might be a better option?

I currently don't have either (gasps of horror) but would like to know what wisdom the FF forums can provide me in regards to my upcoming choice.

You really need both at the end of the season I think.

I'd jump onto Doch before Heater, Doch won't have the same stinkers Heater has like today.

However, I can't see Doch getting 200 either. :P

doch is a gun but shaw is better but now teams will realize that shaw cant handle a tag and a crappy tagger at that so im not sure!

Yeah I agree. I'm not keen on picking Doc up at over $550k.
He's playing some awesome football but teams will start to forward tag as the season goes on. The same as what's happened with mids.

Both are must have Defs with high ceilings, i have Shaw & grabbing Doc this week. If your going for both then grab Doc first, wait for Shaw to drop in price.

Have had Doc and Simmo for the last 6 rounds, fantastic one-two punch. Have been waiting for teams to start tagging one or both of them but they've been left alone to do what they please., hope that keeps up, although I doubt that it will.

doubt they will tag either of them. especially when murph comes back.

both must haves IMO. grabbing doch this week

Not so sure that they will get tagged. There hasn't been many forward tags at all this season..
The other thing working in their favor is that teams will look at Carlton and know that they don't have to sacrifice their structures by tagging Doc or Simmo in order to win the game.

Both musts for sure. I went Simmo and not Doc - this is an error and will have to try to find some way to get Collins up to Doc, then sit on seven defenders. But I only have five trades left...

Cheers guys, looks like the answer is "get both if you can".

Doc this week,and either Savage or Suckling to go to him in a few weeks. (yes I have ridden a giddy rollercoaster with both in my team).
