bit of a dilemma

Shaw, Bartel, Lonergan, Seedsman, Dea, Weitering, Brown, Hartley

is my defense

Lonergan and Seedsman are going

originally was going to go Simmo and a rookie

but wondering if it's smart to go 2 rookies while they are around for cash

i have Tippa & Adams fwd FYI so can sub with brown

and i have 190k in the bank before trades so if i get 2 rookies will have 640k

used 3 trades before this round doing ok in my leagues

by the looks of your backline, i'd say definitely upgrade one. will be a bit rookie heavy - risky.

the defensive rookies look the most solid out of all the rookies in each line.

I'm taking a risk and going with pretty much Shaw and 5 rookies (weitering, adams, tip, dea, DBJ) who all seem to holding their own.

I don't think there is anything wrong with running with the double downgrade. It would be ideal if you could start both Adams and Tippa in defense but it is all about maximizing your cash prior to upgrades.

im dumping lonergan to a rookie this week. the issue is do i accept milera/papley wont make much cash and just pocket the 100k on that one with the 2nd downgrade?

I'm thinking of doing a double downgrade Seedsman/Paps > DBJ & either Wagner/Ruggles, it will mean i will have to field Tippa, DBJ & Dea in Def for the week then the following a double upgrade. Fielding those 3 doesn't seem that bad, considering the prem def performances...

I have the same dilemma. I really want Zerrett but don't want to shoot myself in the foot by missing out on a 200k cash cow.
My initial thinking was to upgrade Lonergan to Zerrett (through DPP) and trade Paps to Ruggles. Still leaning that way but I have a lingering doubt as to whether that's the way to go. I've got Milera too and could trade him for Port's DBJ but Milera has already been ruled out for this week and won't lose cash this week plus  has shown enough for mine to suggest he will be back and could make more cash as a slow burner if I'm prepared to ride the low score out of his system. A Milera and Papley double downgrade only nets about 200k cash generation which is a massive fail. A double downgrade involving Lonergan puts more cash in the reserves and sits more comfortably with me but I'd rather have Zerrett than a rookie. I might have to let DBJ slide through to the keeper.

Lonergan has to go now that Miler has been ruled out.  Lonergan to Byrne/Ruggles leaves me with 350k to address issues. If I upgrade Lonergan only can afford a defender up to about $475k and not really keen on any of them.  So looks like the double downgrade but holding off second downgrade pending team announcements as if McCarthy not named will not have a forward emergency.
