With Clarkey officially announcing his retirement today due to concern over his mental health, a key part of Brisbane's spine has been left vacant. Who do you see as our long term replacement? McStay? Dawson? Hipwood?

Can also add Jackson Paine to that list.  He seems to be reinventing himself as a tall defender and has looked good in the 2 NEAFL Practice games.  Held his own against 2 metre Peter Wright last weekend after the initial onslaught. Suspect he may be the one promoted off the rookie list as replacement.

Sam Skinner is another developing but he is coming back from injury.

We have a number of medium defenders but not many talls.
