BACKS   Simpson   Bartel   Yeo   Smith   Brown   Broad   Hartley   Hibberd

MIDS   Pendlebury   Ablett   Gray   Rockliff   Parker   Liberatore   Parish   Gresham   Keays   Mathieson   Menegola

          RUCKS   Goldstein   Martin   Grimley

FORWARDS   Martin   Barlow   Franklin   Wells   Kerridge   Kommer   Petracca   Philips

BACKS     As much as I want Shaw in that B1 spot I can't find the money anywhere.. Simpson shows as a POD, Bartel is      injury free and hopefully back to his best, Yeo should run riot with a full backline now and Smith should take some of that midfield time Dangerfield happily left behind.

MIDS     Even if Pendlebury spends more time down back he will still rack it up, Hopefully Ablett can overcome those niggling injuries and do what Ablett does best, Gray serves as another POD, Rockliff is stock standard in every team at that price, Parker shows value for a goalkicking mid, See Rockliff for Liberatore's justification , Parish I believe will outdo Hopper and others due to the lack of depth Essendon have at the moment.

RUCKS     Set and Forget, with Grimley performing well for Essendon should see game time for backup

FORWARDS     Martin will explode and shows better value than a injury-prone Deledio, Barlow set for a change back to a inside mid, Buddy can be up and down but would risk it for some of those scores, Wells if can stay healthy shows excellent value, Kerridge showed in NAB game how much contested footy he can get and has chances at Carlton to keep doing it.

All Rookies set to change due to form/round 1 named/price

Can anyone see anyway to strengthen the forward line while somehow get Shaw into the Backline without risking too much of the overall layout of the team

Bully

Don't mind the structure of this team, if you want Shaw you could downgrade Parker to Crouch and upgrade Yeo. I would leave the forwards how they are, Deledio is the next best bet but is overpriced atm, hgpefully grab him in the low $500's.

Shaw is too pricey get him later.

Great structure as mentioned. Love the rucks and forwards almost same as mine but Goldy too pricey also. I'd have 1 but not both Heater and Goldy.

I's just consider downgrading Yeo/Smith and Parker to Crouch as above. And using cash to get FYFE/other premo and/or another premo forward.

crowls

good team and structure.     very similar to mine.
would upgrade parker/gray to fyfe
i am not starting shaw or goldy as see more chance of getting shaw later and not willing to pay overs for goldy

changed the team around quite a bit might just sit on it for a while now..

BACKS   Shaw   Bartel   Smith   Aish   Brown   Broad   Hartley   Hibberd

MIDS   Fyfe   Pendlebury   Ablett   Gray   Rockliff   Liberatore   Polkinghorne   Mathieson    Gore   Keays   Menegola

          RUCKS   Goldstein   Martin   Grimley

FORWARDS   Martin   Westhoff    Barlow   Wells   Kerridge   Kommer   Petracca   McDonald-Tipungwogi

POD being Aish, Fyfe suprisingly enough, Gray and Westhoff

mattttwillll

please pick apart and help potentially find a way for either a 4th possible keeper in back or forward

Ringo

Team is strong enough to sit on -

If Looking for ways to get additional keepers Shaw, Fyfe and Goldy take up nearly $2m of the salary which is quite substantial in a $10m cap.  So to get extra cash but still have have prems maybe Shaw to Simpson and Goldy to Nick Nat and then upgrade in fwd or defence with the $240k you gain with both these moves.

You have to make the decision whether to keep the super prems or look at players who will be in the Top 10. So go with gut when deciding.

mattttwillll

having all of Shaw, Fyfe, Pendles, Ablett, Goldy.. thoughts on having too much cash for the 5 of them. if i was to downgrade who and to what? and what reasons?

Ringo

Matt that is where you go with gut feel as we only give opinions for example- Shaw down to Simpson.  Simpson in my opinion will average close to Shaw.

My suggestion was only if you wanted extra cash to get that 4th Keeper as i do not see any problems with existing team as I said. Say you downgrade Shaw to Simpson and Goldstien to Nic Nat/Mumford then you have and additional $227k cash to look at other defence or forward keepers. As I said only suggestions and then Shaw and Goldstein become upgrade targets.

You have to develop own strategy over the full competition and as I said earlier go with gut on all occasions.

new players in BOLD

Ringo

Like your changes. Personally the only prems that worry me are Shaw and Fyfe.  Just concerned about Fyfes shoulder and what happens when he gets another knock on it.  Shaw had his best season last year but can he keep it up or will he do something stupid like he has in previous years and get suspended. Just my opinions though.

Also is it a little too much risk with both Wells and Menzell - Both injury prone but if you get good cash from them before they succumb to injury then risk v reward.

You have a nice amount of cash left to adjust rookies if need be for Rd 1.

mattttwillll

Having time really starts to just completely change the team around..

BACKS            Shaw, Laird, Smith, Weitering, Hartley, Collins                                            Hibberd, McDonald-Tipungwuti
MIDS              Fyfe, Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Ablett, Rockliff, Liberatore, Mills, Kerridge       Mathieson, Davis, Marcon
RUCKS            Goldstein, Martin                                                                                     Grimley
FORWARDS     Westhoff, Barlow, Hall, Wells, Menadue, Brown                                          Kommer, Petracca

Mid to Forward and Forward to Backs links

Weitering in or down to cheap rookie and upgrade either backs or forwards or both?

Ultra Premo mid with having to sacrifice Martin in the forwards to get Fyfe but happily..

Would prefer not having two of the same team in the backs. Laird or Smith? Could get rid of both and go Bartel and Yeo?

$130,700 REMAINING

Going with my Gut and not starting Martin in the off chance he keeps his horrible average againest Carlton.

Weaker backline but do still have money to upgrade Sheridan. Keeping Weits and Dea should cement their spot and make for a quick upgrade..

Ringo

Nice team now.  If cash left over after adjusting rookies would as you say upgrade Sheridan.
