Would like some general feedback around the structure of my team. I'm not exactly sure of the implications of having dual pos players in certain spots. Is there a rough guide on how to maintain a good structure?

Having mid-fwd rookies in both lines is generally the way to go. Nobody usually bothers with mid-def rookies in the middle to be honest. If anything, I feel you might have too many dpps in your squad. Hall should be fwd, same with degoey. DPP is usually best to be on your cover options, so rookies at this stage... If you needed to throw DeGoey mid one week to avoid a 0 that's a different story obviously!
