Hi All,

First crack after finishing top 500 last year so hoping to get closer this year! Rip it apart please $9,900 left

Back: Boyd, Shaw, Yeo, Malceski, Francis, Hibberd (Sheehan, Brown)
Mid: Rocky, Adams, Wines, GAJ, Libba, B.Crouch, Wells, Gresham (Polkenhorn, Keays, Macpherson)
Ruck:Martin, Lobee (Cox)
For: Dusty, Dalhaus, Stringer, Gunston, Simpkin, Anderson (Petracca, Tipungwiti)

Backs:

Boyd is getting on and I think he will miss a few games this year with general soreness and I think we might see his average decrease a little with libba coming back.

Shaw is super expensive and last year was an outlier in his dreamteam average over 13 or so seasons. I think you will get him cheaper throughout the year.

Mids:

A little light for me. I would like to see you lose adams and get another proven premo like pendles, hannebery etc, especially since you have 3 guys all coming back from lengthy layoffs in 2015 (GAJ, Libba, B.Crouch). You would be extremely lucky if those 3 played full seasons and averaged 100+

Rucks:

I liked Lobbe at the start of the year but he got absolutely monstered by Gawn in his first NAB game as the lone ruckman. I don't see port letting him shoulder the ruck all year on that performance and if he is sharing time in there with the likes of Trengrove then I don't think we will see much output from him.

Fwds:

For me this is your strongest line. I also have gone with Stringer, I think he will be a beast this year and if he runs a bit through the midfield he could definitely finish as a top 6 fwd, plus his ceiling is massive. I am not sure on gunston. He has his big 130 games where he bags a few goals and with roughy out he might have a few more of those but his bad scores are really bad.

Take some money out of the backs and forwards and spend it on upgrading your mids.

Agree with this, I think your mids are too weak at the moment.

I reckon Boyd will finish Top 5 for averages in defence but will miss too many games to be a worthwhile pick. Personally not convinced that Yeo is ready to be a premium pick, but I know a lot of others think he is. Not sure Malceski will get back to his high scoring days and would prefer a cheaper rookie over Francis.

Don't think Lobbe will average enough to be a keeper or make enough money to be a worthwhile stepping stone. Also think Gunston's scores will suffer early in the season due to the absence of Roughead.

Wardie,
Lobbe is a concern & would watch this week as Howard is named as well as Trengrove , so that could give an insight re Ports ruck quandary.
Rookies as per all a Wait n See.
As noted with Boyd, could be rested a lot more this year. Would enable to upgrade the mid line.
Like the pick of Stringer.
