Looks a lot better know - Well done and good luck. And just wait for those rookies to surface.  Do you have much cash in reserve to make adjustments if required?

Thanks for the advice champ, good luck to you and the lions this year!

Yeah got $74,600 in the bank if need be!

I was thinking of going Liam Duggan instead of Wells just to try something a bit different to everyone else and with the sub rule gone this year its tempting...  trying to break that 22 would be the hardest bit for him,

But will just sit on this team for the mean time, cannot wait to watch the NAB tomorrow night!!! FOOTYS ALMOST BACK  ;D ;D ;D

Yep that will allow a lot of flexibility to chose rookies playing.

doss the boss please explain where you see donuts?

Starting 3 defensive rookies is just looking for trouble imo, especially this year. I think you can get away with 2 on-field rookies (with Mitch Brown one of them ~ relatively good JS). Yes, there may be 5 rookie-priced players named round 1 but I highly doubt they will hold their spot for several rounds, which you are after.

Furthermore, Wells at F3 (edited) is also fraught with danger, given his fitness concerns. Types like Kerridge, Dale, Cockatoo, etc (job security concerns), again may line up round 1 but may see no action in the next games. I just think it is too much risk and could see you fall behind the 8 ball early on in the season.

From there you will be forced to make early trades to other rookies who are just as unreliable, (IF a couple of your rookies get dropped). In saying that, it is risks that will lift you to glory in this game!

Ps. I like your changes above, but still think you should upgrade a defensive rookie to a player with a reliable JS, eg. EMac (he's cheap too). Anyway, all the best Bubbles!

I reckon he is talking bout your rookies you have selected which means f all until teams are named for rd1
This - and no one really knows who will line up in Rd 1.

Only real concern I have with your team is Wells at F3. Mids are very strong and with the mid rooks usually making the most cash you may be missing out on cash generation.  I would look at downgrading Bont or Wines to another rook and bringing in a prem forawrd at F3 Dahlhaus, Lids, Franklin, Wingard or similar.

You know it makes sense!

Saw him down at the Lobster Cave in Beaumaris not to long ago. Was gonna say hi but he still looks like a serial killer so gave it a miss

$24,200 in the bank

Swapped Shaw and KK for Simmo and Boyd today, If Ben Kennedy kills the NAB and is named round 1 I'm going to have to squeeze him in somewhere, maybe he can take Mills spot in the midfield or Wells if he doesn't get up for round 1

fanTCfool

And you even swapped the 'r' and the 'h' in the team name! Changes all round!
Quite like the changes with Boyd playing his first 7 at Etihad, and the more consistent choice in Simmo over KK
