Just like AFL Fantasy, 2016 will be my first year playing DT, so I'm looking for as much help as I can get.
My first draft is as follows:

Def: Simpson, KK, B. Smith, Harwood, M. Brown, M. Brown (Hartley, Adams)

Mid: Hannebery, Danger, Rocky, GAJ, Wines, Libba, Polec, Crouch (Wells, Cunningham, Marcon)

Ruck: Stef Martin, Lobbe (M. King)

Fwd: Robinson, Smith, Franklin, Simpkin, Lyons, Menzel (Kerridge, Ahern)

Cash: $30,700

Polec is my biggest uncertainty, think I might find another slightly cheaper option and then use some spare change to upgrade Buddy or Devon Smith.

Any thoughts appreciated  ;D

A very left of centre team this one. Not trying to bring you down, but I will just pick on the negatives.

KK - Has the potential to keep his average, but how will he go with everyone else coming back in?
M.Brown - Lose the Eagle version, he won't get any games this year.
Wines - Bit of a question mark about him for me. I don't see him raising his average enough for it to be a worthy pick.
Polec - Also iffy on him, how about Scott Selwood at that price? Could be heavily underpriced. 40 points difference even.
M.King - Won't get a game this year (Melbourne supporter), I suggest you go for Currie in that D3. He will most likely play a few.

Other than that looks pretty good. For a DT team, who want to have as many possession sluts in your team as possible. If they rack up the stats you need them in your team. Key position players don't generally score too well, although there are some that defy that logic like Buddy, NRoo etc. I like the Buddy pick, I think he can bring his average buck up to a 90ish.

Have a look at some of the other teams posted in this section. It will give some indication of where to maybe head with some players.

Thanks for the feedback mate, pretty keen on Duryea so might look at his as an alternative to KK.
Wasn't too sure on WCE Brown, he'll go back to someone rookie priced now.
Not too sure on Wines either, will just keep him until NAB and then decide
Polec, i'll probably use some of this extra cash from above moves to upgrade him to a keeper.
I had M King as a loophole, but there's no rolling lockout in RDT is there? Whoops!  ::) I'll get Currie in there.
I'll post my updated team once I make the changes

Grimley is another alternative to Currie as well. I reckon he'll get games at some point. I personally would avoid Polec. Doctors wanted to fuse his foot meaning he could never run again. It's healed to a certain degree but career threatening foot injuries are worth noting

Forgot to post the updated team, Polec has already been removed, made quite a few changes:

Def: Bartel, Simpson, B. Smith, Harwood, M Brown (Ess), Adams (Hartley, Bonner)

Mid: Tom Mitchell, Dangerfield, Rocky, Sloane, GAJ, Libba, Crouch, Simpkin (Gresham, Cunningham, Marcon)

Ruck: Stef Martin, Lobbe (Currie)

Fwd: D. Martin, Barlow, Robinson, Lyons, Menzel, Wells (Kerridge, Ahern  ::))

Cash: $43,700

Will certainly look into Grimley over the NAB, probably a better option I would suspect.

I'm looking at getting him in as a forward rookie regardless. He could come in pretty handy with the DPP later down the track.

Which Menz do you have?

That would be Daniel Menzel

Not sold on either to be honest but I guess Daniel is at least cheaper regardless of how dodgy his knees are.

Is Lyons even best 22? Probably not.

I might do a copy paste on my thoughts with Lobbe.

I made a mistake in picking up Sandilands to start the year thinking he would be a good option since he gets a lot of hitouts. A hit out regardless of if it goes to advantage or not is 1 point, where Sandi kills it is they go to advantage so in SC he's scoring jumps quite a bit. I think Lobbe is going to fit this kind of role where he might be a decent SC pick because some of the stuff he does gets scaled up (pressure acts) but is worth 0 in DT. Looking at Lobbe's best season it was a 89 DT to 100 SC. The other thing is he is a lot more expensive in DT compared to SC.

There is maybe also too much money tied up in the midfield. It might be worth trying something like Menzel to a rookie, Lyons swaps with Simpkin and turn that into a rookie in the midfield. From there see if you can turn Lobbe into Goldstein. You effectively gain a keeper while turning an expensive rookie into a cheaper one and two mid priced players that you won't keep into a keeper.
