Profile

After a long initiation in the VFL Duryea has become a regular fixture in the Hawthorn team. He went on a rollercoaster ride in the first half of 2015 with 4 scores over 100 and 2 under 50 but was averaging 85.3 up to the bye. From that point on he dropped off a bit but still ended the year with a decent average. Twice during the season Taylor was a late inclusion and he was also the green vest in one regular season game and the first final. However it was in the last 3 finals that he more than likely cemented his position for good; averaging 24.6 disposals, 9 marks and 100DT. Being such a competitive side there is still the chance he could get forced out for a game or two if his form dips but most of the signs are positive.

The vests mean he is 2-3 points undervalued to start with and his fantasy progression has been headed upwards. At 24 going on 25 there seems to be a bit of upside but at the same time he is a defender and will be prone to the occasional shocking score when asked to lock down tightly on an opponent. While the likes of Kolodjashnij and Yeo will probably be favoured by fantasy coaches Duryea shouldn't be left out of the conversation.

Pros - Undervalued, improving, high kick/handball ratio, good marking numbers

Cons - Role changes, minor concern with js, inconsistent scoring
