The Sydney Swans will be welcomed home in Round 1 with all home games for 2016 to be held at the SCG.

The iconic sporting ground has been the Swans’ spiritual home in Sydney since 1982 and remains a fan-favourite among Swans supporters.

The move follows successful negotiations to bring to an end the existing agreement with ANZ Stadium one year early.

The three Swans matches that had been earmarked for ANZ Stadium in 2016 will now be played at the SCG

Collingwood literally think it's an issue because the SCG is 18kms away from ANZ stadium and accommodation near SCG is booked out...  ::)

They want either the AFL or the Swans to cover their hotel expenses...

For a club with the largest membership base, they sound as though they will use any excuse to be stingy  :P

From homebush you get a train to lidcombe, from Lidcombe you get a train to central, from central you walk as the cabs/buses will take too long.

i used whereis and it says it takes 30 mins with no traffic. On game day the M4 and anzac parade are car parks
