Been sitting back and reading (as well as looking at my RDT and AFL) for past 3 weeks.  Made some changes and now it is almost NAB time.


DEF:  Simpson, Bartel, Yeo, B Smith, Harltey, Bonner,( S Collins Hibberd)
MID:  Pendles, GAJ, Beams, Rockliff, Libba, Crouch, Gresham, Kerridge (polkinghorne, Balic, R Clarke)
Ruc:   Martin, NicNat,  M King
FWD:  D Martin, Barlow, Franklin, Wells, Bird, Kommer, (Grimly, Crocker)


Rooks all subject to NAB and starting Rd 1.      Bennell  JOM interuppted pre season,   KK riskier that other backs,

Think I will go M King for Loophole and look to bring in as fwd/ruc Grimley after a couple of games

I feel 3 prems in backline is minimum I am comfortable starting.
Happy with Mids and Rucks,   will bring in King and move grimley to replace petracca.

Super strong mids. Great rucks albeit no Goldy. Popular, safe fwd picks and if you are going cheap on one line asyou ewould have to do with those mids...backs is where to do it.

Fwd - Martin, Barlow, Zerrett, D Menzel, D Wells, McCarthy (kerridge, Petracca)


GNR backs,  3 keepers.  risk of getting 3 starters each week
Mids - GNR + libba
Rucks set and forget
Fwd - 3 keepers and 2 midprice cash cow.   


Considering trading in Wells and Menzel for Tippet and rookie.

not yet finalised,    houli v shaw,   bartel v rich/smith   2 of pendles/danger/parker     oliver v mills    did have s gray at f3 but downgraded him for cash.

Nice team and structure - Like most of us waiting for teams to be announced for final decisions.  Just go with gut.

On your suggestions Prefer Shaw to Houli as Shaw is the only defender I really feel confident to go over 100+ but my opinion.
BartelvRich/smith - Biased to Rich following coaches statement he can see hom spending 90% of time in mids but can not go wrong with any of the three.

Would stick with Pendles and Danger as you know what you get - Parker will have good games and some not so good. JPK, Mitchell and Jack to share the points as well but go with gut here.

Think Mills over Oliver.

Thanks Ringo.    Depending on rookies can see myself juggling around to get the cash needed on the night of first game.     Last minute rush.     ;D    Still this is what months of forum reading etc supposed to prep us for.  Last year had gazza out until 1hr before game start.    as you say go with your gut.    Now I will go back and provide some feedback for Vossy.

2016-14    version 13 only lasted 4 hours.   :) :) :)
Bac:   houli laird bartel harwood dea hartly (adams, adamson)
felt underdone in the backs and researched harwood.   capable of getting to 85 avg.  which would be 150-170 cash generation plus additional points and possible d7/8  out M Brown in Harwood
Mids :  Fyfe danger GAZ Shiel Rockliff Libba Crouch Oliver (gresham kerridge clark/davis)
Out Pendles and in Shiel.   Research supports shiel breaking into super premo this year and cash enables me to strengthen backline with minimal if any points loss in mids.
Ruc:   Martin Gawn    (Grimley)
Currie out and Grimley in for cash.   Still may go to King.
Fwds:  martin barlow wells bennedy milera menadue (tippa mccarthy)
No Change.   though keen on Robbo and S Gray.    Cant fit them in atm


Feel this team has a better balance in the backline without taking away anything from mids.

Wells at F3 is just a slight concern if injury occurs early.  Risk v Reward,

Really nice team just get rookies right.
