I've been thinking recently that since the Crows have lost Bock, Davis, Gunston, Tippett and Dangerfield it's about time they picked up a quality player. Don't get me wrong Eddie Betts is a star recruit, but he doesn't compensate the amount of stars we have lost in the past 4 years.

I think we should go hard for Dyson Heppell, I think it would suit both parties perfectly. A likely replacement for Thompson, Heppell could benefit from getting away from the fish bowl of the Melbourne media. Just ask Patty Ryder and Angus Monfries to see how they've faired. He'll be 25. Essendon seems to be in a rebuild and may have possible law suits with their players. Whereas Adelaide are about to hit the prime age of their list to challenge for the premiership. They would surely be able to fit him in and not lose anyone in the process.

Yesterday it was "Get Hurley" Today get Hepp!

Well, considering how young and inexperienced most of our midfield group is, Grigg, Lyons, Crouch's, CEY, Gore and with Thommo and Sloaney the two carrying the midfield atm. Makes perfect sense to chase a Heppell! Doubt that will happen but if we re just relying on those players named to be the next engine room, maybe we could be in a bit of trouble unless a few can stand up soon!

Currently though it isn't the stoppage winning players winning matches, it's the run and carry which is turning Adelaide into the top 4 side again. Laird, Smith, Seedsman, Milera, Knights, Atkins, Mackay, Brown, Lever, Douglas, , Lynch, Jenkins, Betts, Cameron (Not played) Hendo (Not yet played) that has Adelaide in winning form!

We just need a few Crouch's, Sloane and whoever else can step into the guts and win ball, tackle and give the ball out to those who run and carry ;)

Saying that. Imagine a fit Brad Crouch, SLoane and Dyson Heppell at the centre bounce?

I think our midfield is lacking another top tier talent. Even though we are covering Dangerfield right now, you can't deny, that we don't have the midfield quality of Hawks, Sydney, Geelong, WB. Our defence doesn't need Hurley, give Lever a couple of years to add size. But Thompson can't go on forever, and Sloane can't carry the load when he does go. We also can't expect too much out of Crouchs. So I think Heppell's just what we need!

Heppell is a pipe dream, if he leaves the Bombers, probably will be to a Vic side. Hurley is a little bit more realistic but even then, considering the amount of money he would cost, do we really need him? He would take Hartigan's spot currently and he played one of his best games for the club last night and is constantly improving. If we were to target anyone, it would be Lachie Neale.

Heppell won't be leaving Essendon. If he was contemplating it the big victorian clubs would be all over him but have been told he isn't leaving.

Hurley I'm not so sure. I'm not confident he will be staying at Essendon next year so if you have a good crack at him you may be a chance.

Tbh, I thought no way he'd leave until I saw he was suing the club.

I'd back a victorian team though as well.

yeah I definitely see it as unlikely, but what big victorian club would he go. I think if he wanted to escape all the Essendon scrutiny and push for a premiership than Adelaide would be a good option. I agree on Hurley, I think he would push Hartigan and Lever in a couple years may push Hartigan anyway. Neale would be a good get but we need bigger midfielders to replace Thompson.

If you want to escape the drugs scandal Brisbane is the place to go. He could around Southbank for hours and no one would even stop to ask for an autograph cause no one would know who he is! Also we'll be pushing for a premiership... Soon.

My money would be on Zorko for the Norm Smith!

But players are starting to ignore the retarded pleads of scumbag player agents ::) that Adelaide is a bad place to come! Plenty of good talent has moved to SA recently and not necessary South Australians! About time those flower pot player agents got put in their place (Which is in the lavatory if you ask me) ;)

Adelaide will land (Another) big name player soon! Question will remain, who?
