Profile

Gaff established himself as one of the premiere ball winners in the league during 2015, averaging an impressive 29.7 touches per game. His fantasy numbers reflected this, going 110+ on 11 occasions and having a 9 game run of 100+ scores. Despite his excellent performances he was only owned by a paltry 3.3% of coaches come season's end. Sure, Gaff isn't quite up there with the Pendlebury's and JPK's of the world and the risk of him being tagged remains constant but there's some legitimate reasons why he could be a top 8 mid in 2016. He's only 23 after all and given his progression over the last few years there's the possibility he hasn't topped out yet. The likelihood is he will be overlooked again but the small group of coaches who do take the plunge could have a valuable POD on their hands.

Pros - Huge ball winner, still improving

Cons - Potential to be tagged, low tackle average

Prediction - 103-107

Mr.Craig's Call

Football Factory

Had a fantastic season which has helped the Eagles along. Not sure if he can go any higher with his average next year and as stated by MrCraig could be in line to cop a tag here and there (Priddis will cop the main tag). Probably go big name players as my premo's. Not saying he hasn't become a big name player just cant see myself fitting him into my team just yet.

I still think he gets some serious attention, he's just got his tank to a level where he can burn off taggers and his ability to read the game is insane (plus obviously the improvement of our inside ball winning brigade).

I won't start him, but we're probably looking at an elite fantasy midfielder for years to come!

When given attention, I've felt Gaff has been halted a little on the fantasy side of things, but he can learn to shake that with experience.
