Karl Amon 19, just getting a few supporters who watched the latter part of the Maggies season opinions. From what I've read, he finished the season as one of our best players. His Wikipedia page has him at 181 cm and 71kg. Does anyone know his current weight. I heard he had an outstanding Dubai preseason, and was stated to have pushed Kornsey and Boaky in a lot of the drills.  He's said to have a penetrating left foot, with a strong overhead mark, great endurance, and exiting speed. The one thing he's working on, is his contested ball work. He's an outside mid/ forward, so if he gets in our best 22, who does he replace. The only two I can think of are Gus and Jakey. Is he that close, or another year in the Maggies?

He is training the house down and Ken does repay hard work
He will get pre season opportunities

I don't think he would be pushing Gus out of the side, Neade on the other hand is in danger of losing his spot as theres a few youngsters pushing for games and Amon is one of them.

As you pointed out he had a quite good end to the season in the twos and his dubai training camp was impressive. Whilst we are lacking a good small crumbing forward Amon could fit the bill.

Opening game against Fremantle and Amon could enjoy the space that Pattersons stadium will offer.

You could say that 20 of the 22 spots are locked but you could throw a blanket over 10 other blokes for those last 2 spots and Amon has pushed himself into contention

Could be a veritable downgrade option later in the season. The kid wins possessions but I can't see him receiving an opportunity in the Power midfield this season. I would say his opportunity would most likely come as a small forward and the list is far too strong atm so, realistically, I think he'll receive an opportunity is another small forward is injured. Looks good in the long-term though

I take this back, I think he has been fantastic so far (better than the more experienced ah Chee). It's a shame he kept getting the vest, however he changed that against the Bulldogs

With Gus getting suspended, this door has opened up for him to grasp again in 2016.
