My next move?

So into the last 4 and up against the strongest opponent in my cash league, this guys team has been unstoppable all season.
Have studied his team and he has a few injury concerns but has cover in all lines.

I have 1 trade and 43k, not much I can do with it unless one of my players is injured or is a late out this week.

My team is:
Hodge, Shaw, Newnes, Simpson, Gibson, Mcdonald ( Lever, J Kolo )
Fyfe, Pendlebury, Mundy, Armitage, Selwood, Rockliff, JPK, Priddis ( Steele, Knight, Glenn )
Goldy, Martin ( Read )
Swan, Gray, Martin, Daulhaus, T Walker, Lambert ( Daniel, Dale )

Our PODs are:
Newnes, Simpson, McDonald, Gibson, Mundy, Armitage, Priddis, Martin, Daulhaus, Walker, Lambert
Vs
Rance, Ibbotson, Saad, Kelly, Dangerfield, Sloane, Steven, Nic Nat, Bennell, Bont, Mitchell
Opp also has B Smith, Cotchin and Buddy on his bench.

So any advice on which way to go would be great.

Weakest link in your team is Lambert.
Unfortunately due to lack of money and trades your kind of stuck with him.
There is nothing attractive to me the 400K price range, unless you feel lucky and go with a KPP like Pav or Kennedy and hope you get one of their 10 goal games.

Personally I would sit on the trade and wait and only use it for a sideways if you get a late out premo. Otherwise you've just gotta hope.
I realize that their is no point in losing while holding trades, I just cant see any single trade move that is going to help improve your team.

Taylor Walker is your weak link, along with Lambert but Tex could go big against the hapless Lions.

Holding isn't the worst idea.

Betts, JJK or Kelly would be my selections in your place. Might just be best to hold the trade as a sideways if a player is injured or rested though, as none of those options will outscore Lambert by much...

The thing with Lambert is he plays on Saturday afternoon so if i trade it will be before most games are played  :-\

Im trying to see if there is any genuine cover for Steele or Daniel but there is basically nothing.
I know this is crazy but what about Josh Hill from the Eagles? Had a great game against Freo, really liked his game on Sunday.
I could trade Daniel for Hill and loophole Lambert with Dale if he gets a terrible score and by then i will know if i need to use that trade or not....wishful thinking  :'(
