Beams vs Sloane

Not too worried about value, though sloanes price is soo tempting.

I think Beams could drop off now with Hanley back and Rocky to return at some point, he might outscore Sloane in the short term but I wouldn't be surprised if they're both very similar from here. That's assuming Sloane can recapture a bit of form. Depending how strong your midfield is now, Sloane is much better value but if I absolutely had to pick which I think will score more, it would be Beams. But not by much.

Similar to me. With JPK, Lewis and Selwood  in the 95-105 bracket (and even Ward, looks better on average now thanks to a 175) I think you really need to be looking top tier. Sloane could just be another player of that level, I'd be looking at Beams, or Danger if you can afford him.

I'm in same position. CEY upgrade. Also have JPK, Selwood, Wines and Ward as mention all around that 95-110.. Already had Sloane. I was looking at Brandon Ellis but not top tier although last month has been..Only thing with going Sloane I get $$ for Tarrant/Clark trade who I need to get off field as they are current F6.

I have Ward and JPK, I'll probably add Sloane this week but I wouldn't be doing that if I had Jelwood and Lewis as well.

Trouble is that top players have been a bit patchy, looking at the top 10 at the moment I wouldn't be hugely confident picking many/any of them other than Fyfe and Pendles which pretty much everyone already has... yet scoring of the others so far this year has been good, can't deny that... But something about Montagna, Mundy and DanHan in my midfield just wouldn't seem right. Normally you might have one of those blokes as a POD...

Faced with this dilemma, I went with Beams.

Sloane's BE is 117 (iirc), hasn't tonned since Round 3 (yeah, I know he got injured and missed games) and so I'm hoping he scores similarly to how he has been after those big scores and drops in price a bit more, so I can pick him up next week for Gregson or Dumont.

Bit Biased but I would go Beams now. (I have both btw).

Beams is just starting to gel with Brisbanes mid field and can not see scoring drop much with the return of Rocky and Redden. Brisbane also have a reasonable 2nd half draw which will assist. Sloane will be a good pick up when he bottoms out in the next 2 weeks. may even achieve his B/e this week.

Ive had both of them for quite a long time. started with Beams, and picked up sloane when he reached his peak price. Since then  ive  recieved shower from him, scores of 60, 69, 75,then 3 weeks off due to injury, and a 94 last week, for 640k he just hasnt done enough. Beams on the otherhand has been very consitent and reliable. Id get Beams if you dont mind spending the money

This week I traded both in plus S Martin but would go Beams in front of Sloane without even the blink of an eyelid.    ;)
